This is my personal farewell to a game series that has managed to captivate and move me like no other. Perhaps you will find a few of your own experiences reflected within it, too. If you’ve found this comic, I’m glad we could undertake a small part of this journey together. Enjoy!

why is everyone saying nagikae is canon when korotan D took place before college and after college nagisa and kayano dont really talk anymore?

No one said nagisa and kayano don’t really talk anymore,hun. Don’t misunderstood what kayano said.

What she means in the final chapter is that ‘Nagisa is too focused on his job to pay his attention on me’  .Knowing nagisa as character,you might realise he is always the dense type of guy and clueless in terms of romantic relationship.

Like cmon if they really don’t talk anymore:

1. Hara won’t suddenly ask kayano how’s she doing with nagisa.

2. They are meeting each other but disturbed by nagisa’s students.Nagisa won’t apologize if it wasn’t they supposed to meet each other alone. (Probably a date)

3. There’s also a line in Nagisa’s profile (in Graduation Album book) that since his parents are getting back together they are suggesting nagisa to change his surname after he suddenly got media’s full attention. There’s no reason for him to get their attention unless he’s planning to marry an actress.

Also I’m rejoicing because Matsui feeds us nagikae shippers with more of their content.He himself said that korotan d is dedicated for nagisa and kayano’s fans. I’m still not 100% sure whether they are canon or not. But that doesn’t stop me from making comics about them actually dating, getting married or having kids.

Right, if u want to draw or make fics where nagisa ended up with karma then go for it.No one has right to stop you.Just leave us nagikae shippers alone.Enough with the salt.

Korotan D excerpt summary

Shueisha posted an excerpt from the first chapter of the novel section in Korotan D so I thought I’d write some notes on it. Sorry if it’s a bit clunky to read, but it should be simple enough to follow.

Notes from the Korotan D novel preview

Chapter is titled “Entrance Exams Time” and this chapter occurs right in the midst of that season, so it’d be around February

Karma just finished his entrance exam and meets up with Nagisa afterwards to talk about a Class E graduation trip in March

Karma asked around the class about how people fared on their entrance exams before going through with the idea for the trip and out of all the people he asked, things seem to be looking good for them (in particular, he mentions Takebayashi, Terasaka, and Isogai whom he just saw at his entrance exam, though I would hazard a guess he asked others as well)

Nagisa says Kayano can’t make it then because she’s filming for a movie overseas. Karma is surprised and says it’s too bad but Kayano is a popular actress after all.

Nagisa says Kayano is starring in an action-adventure film called Gold City. Karma is so surprised he practically jumps from his chair (lol). Karma says the director of Gold City also directed the Sonic Ninja film and goes on to express his amazement at Kayano being an international star.

Karma asks if Nagisa keeps in touch with Kayano often. Nagisa says they talk, but she doesn’t get to meet up with everyone much because she’s so busy (T/N: The way I read it, it seems to imply Karma doesn’t keep in touch with Kayano nearly as much as Nagisa. That’s how it came off to me, at least.)

Nagisa says they shouldn’t steal her precious time away from her by asking her to hang out but Karma says Nagisa is just too reserved. Karma is insistent that she’s not “Mase Haruna” – she’s “Kayano Kaede” to Class E, so they should just try and invite her out despite her busy schedule because she’s a dear friend to Class E

Nagisa mentions that Kayano is filming Gold City overseas in Phnon (T/N: プノン国 Punon koku; it seems to be a made-up country, but it’s probably based on Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. Cambodia is located in Southeast Asia, which is also where Nagisa says Phnon is)

After hearing this, Karma decides that for Class E’s grad trip, they’ll go to Phnon. Nagisa is wary but Karma hits up Class E on LINE about the trip and they’re all excited for it.

Nakamura has an overseas friend who can get them discounted airline tickets + accommodations and they can cancel at any time they want

Nagisa is afraid they’re gonna bother Kayano during her shoot and feels the weight of the responsibility because he’s the one who told Karma that she’s filming in Phnon

Karma is all like dude, no problem as he shows that he got Kayano to reveal where she was filming of her own volition in a separate the group LINE chat just now (he lied and said he heard about it in the news and asks her where she’s filming). Karma says Nagisa can rest easy because he didn’t hear this info from Nagisa, but directly from Kayano

Nagisa is still worried that with so many of them showing up, they’ll be bothering Kayano when she’s filming for her movie but Karma insists she’ll be happy to see them. He then tells Nagisa to keep mum about Class E’s trip to Kayano because they’re all gonna surprise her (EDIT: I should clarify, Kayano knows that Class E is going on a grad trip and laments that she can’t go, but she doesn’t know they’re going to Phnon)

The Mini-Comic at the End of Korotan D 

Those of you who have been in the fandom for a while may remember this from previous Korotans, but there’s always a mini-comic drawn by Matsui at the end of each Korotan, and Korotan D is no exception. I figured I’d start my translations of the book with this comic since it’s nice, short, and cute. Plus, I was really happy to see Class-E in manga form again, even if it’s just two pages, so I had to start with this (; ω ;) I also decided to be fancy and type the translations onto the scans! 

Please note that since this is a book for teaching English, you’re meant to read the pages from left to right, even though this is a manga! Also, since the text may difficult to see depending on where you’re viewing this, I have the translation typed out below: 

Korosensei: Congratulations on making it through these tests-!!

Korosensei: I’m so moved that you would conquer this compilation of my lessons!!

Nagisa: W-Wait, Korosensei!!  Is it alright for you to appear with the high school versions of us!?  (It’s anachronistic!)

Korosensei: It’s fine!! This is a compilation, so anything goes!!

Korosensei: Besides, I didn’t get to appear at all in this volume!!

Korosensei: Now is the time for me to say and do all the things I want!

Korosensei: Now then, everyone!! It would be such a waste if all you do with the English you have learned is memorize it.

Korosensei: Please put it into practice and make a ton of use of it outside as well!!

Korosensei: Procure information from overseas!!

Korosensei: View scenery in different countries!!

Korosensei: And get close to people from other countries, too! Use your abilities in all sorts of situations!!

hey!! sorry to hijack this post, but there are a bunch of ways you can make videogames without knowing shit about computers!! 

for starters, there’s Twine, which is fucking great for making all kinds of interactive experiences (it’s what Crystal Warrior Ke$ha was made in so you KNOW it’s good) at all skill levels (i picked it up and made a game in two minutes a few nights ago)

if you want a bit more involved experience there’s Inform 7 which is a simple language for text-based adventure games that reads like slightly-weird English and also relatively easy to learn

you can do some pretty fucking cool stuff with Unity (my personal engine of choice) but you may need to dig a bit farther to get at the good stuff. there’s lots of really good presets though (i made an entire game just mixing and matching pre-existing templates and adding in my own art, won an award at a game jam for that one) and if you want help the community’s pretty dang friendly from what i’ve seen!

this is just a taste of what’s out there from what i’ve seen, but there’s so many cool resources out there. if anyone wants help getting started, i’m around to give you a leg up on making something in the coolest, most unexplored art medium around!

2D Editors:

GameMaker : Potential for pure drag-and-drop “programming”. It is recommended to read-up on the program’s functions to make good use of it. Good for prototyping. Uses its own language called Game Maker Language (GML) that is similar to a C language (e.g. C++ or C#). For both Mac and PC; free version available.

Construct2 : Drag and drop level editor that uses an “If-Then” event sheet structure for programming. Good for prototyping and for beginners. For PC; free version available.

GameSalad : Drag and drop with no code requirement. Good for programming. For both Mac and PC; free version available.

Solpeo : HTML5 based game engine for 2D and isometric game development. Some programming knowledge needed. Platforms supported: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 9+. Free version available.

Stencyl : Drag and Drop “programming,” templates you can edit the variables/values for.

Scratch : Lego-block-style coding platform by MIT; totally free and a great intro to thinking in code. Very kid-friendly and comes with a community site. Browser version available.

3D Editors:

Unity : 3D editor that creates 3D games. Can build games for browser, as an app, or for mobile devices (iOS and Android). For both Mac and PC; free version available.

UDK (Unreal Development Kit) : Full-fledged, highly advanced editor. Features a complete set of tools that go from level design to visual scripting to cut-scene creation. Uses it’s own programming language called Unreal Script that can be arranged with Kismet, a visual code editor. For Mac and PC; free.

2D Art/Animation Software:

GIMP : Free photo editing and digital painting software.

Easy Paint Tool SAI : Free digital painting software with a UI similar to Photoshop.

Mischief : Free digital painting software with an endless canvas.

3D Art/Animation Software:

Sculptris : From the company that created Zbrush, this free software is ideal for beginning 3D sculptors.

Maya : Animation, VFX, lighting, and rendering software.

Magical Voxel : Voxel Art (3D Pixel Art). Very intuitive and quick to pick up.

SketchUp :  Architectural modeling software, great for creating 3D environments and buildings. Free version available.

Text-Based Games:

Twine : Create interactive text stories using Twine’s visual map system that links your game together. Easy to learn and use. End result is browser-based. For Mac and PC; free.

Quest : Interactive text stories that you can build in-browser.

Ren’Py : Create visual novels using a modified version of Python that reads like a combination of stage directions and a CYOA novel. For PC, Mac, and Linux; free.

Audio Resources/Editors:

Indie Game Music : This site offers free indie music with no need to worry about royalties or licenses.

Audacity : A free, open-source, cross-platform sound editor that allows you to record and arrange sound.

Super Flash Bros. : This site allows you to record theremin-like (8bit) sounds and export them as .wav files for your games.

FL Studio : Free music composition software.

Miscellaneous Tools:

Donjon RPG Tools : Randomly generates maps, items, XP, etc.

W3Schools : Web-code tutorial database: HTML, CSS, Javascript+.

Debut Video Capture : Video screen capture to record Let’s Play videos, showcase your game on Youtube, etc.

Korsakow : Free tool for creating interactive and database films.

Processing : Flexible programming language used for visual and interactive artworks and simulations.

Orcs aren’t known for their great cuisine. Orcs prefer foods that are readily available (whatever can be had by raiding), and portable with little preparation, though they have a few racial delicacies. Toughs strips of lean meat, bones scavenged from recent kills, and dark coarse bread make up the bulk of common orc rations.Fire roasted rothe femur (marrow is a rare treat) [beef femur], Strips of dried meat (of unknown origin) [homemade goose jerky], foraged nuts, only edible by orcs….nut cracker tusks [brazil nuts], coarse black bread, made with whatever grains can be pillaged [black sesame bread], Pungent peppers [Habanero peppers stuffed with smoked fish and olives].

Lizardfolk are known to be omnivores, forage for a surprising variety of foods found within the confines of their marshy environs, in this case the Lizard Marsh near Daggerford. Fresh caught boiled Delimbyr Crayfish on wild chives, coastal carrageen moss entrapping estuary brine shrimp (irish moss, dried brine shrimp), Brackish-Berries (blackberries), Blackened Dart-Frog legs (frog legs) on spring sprouts (clover sprouts), roasted bog bugs on a stick!
