It was the most painful experience I have ever had as an NCTzen and for the first time in 4 years was my loyalty and love shaken.
I'll be honest, when the news first came out saying that Jungwoo was a part of whatever bullshit EX-skz Woojin had done — my heart broke. Our pure sweet innocent Jungwoo accused of smth as terrible as sexual harassment? I felt betrayed. I felt hurt. I felt sad.
Before it came out it was completely fake, it seemed like there was reason to assume it was true. It h u r t to think this way about someone we all loved and deep down i HOPED it really wasn't the case; but what if it was? What if Jungwoo had really committed the crime? What would I do? What would happen?
It was so conflicting to think about, and that's natural. It was natural for others to feel angry and it was also natural to feel heartbroken. But I didn't want to be someone who gave up her principles just to defend an ideal, so I was determined.
IF it was proven true that he did do it, then I needed to steel myself to do the right thing no matter how much it hurt me to. IF it was proven to be false then THANK GOD.
The problem was that even when it was proven to be the latter, the damage had already been done.
Articles dragging not only Jungwoo's name but also Taeyong's were made, they were trending negatively on twitter. In the end, we, NCT and NCTzens both, were just unfortunate casualties of another man's crime. Jungwoo, Taeyong, and the rest of nct/superm/wayv were hurt by it all.
I can't possibly imagine what the boys must feel now, and I am SO worried about them. As an nctzen, I am also very hurt by these events — from having to THINK of one of them as a sexual harasser, to almost believing the fake news, to hurting nct, to this mess of an aftermath.
This was such a terrible day, and, in the 4 years of stanning NCT, this was the worst scandal they had ever been in and it wasn't even their fault.
To the fake accounts that caused all this pain for the sake of clout and saving that trash, Woojin's, name — I hope you one day learn the meaning of responsibility and empathy.
