Somnus is an ongoing horror/dark fantasy webcomic set in an alternate, anachronistic earth.  Thus far, it concerns the lives of a group of young-ish creatives in L.A., as they try to navigate their lives and careers amidst being increasingly drawn in to unusual, earth-shattering events linked to forgotten and poorly understood events in their past. https://subscribestar.adult/asylum-ashtear

I wanted to get back to just casually sketching clothes I like.I absolutely love this Celine leather babydoll coat. It's just such a great design and concept.I also wanted to draw the American Eagle pleated houndstooth pinafore dress, because I like pinafores.I'm also adding ref images and other misc. stuff to this, just like I do with my physical sketchbooks.

Continuing my semi-daily fashion sketching;

So I've been obsessed with the pleated pinafore by @lecoledesfemmes for a long time, and wanted to sketch it. It's so cool and I want to pick one up as soon as I'm able. (I'd love to do an entire haul in fact).

So I decided to sketch Claire wearing it for this sketch page, with her sporting a lot of accessories as well. Plus some eye and figure drawing practice.

The Magic Spire. 2025 digital sketchbook. Page 3.

The other night, I had a dream in which I saw this unusual tri-tower structure. In the dream, I simply "knew" that it was called "the Magic Spire", and something magic-related could be found inside the spherical nodes. The narrow support/pylon contains an elevator. The "chutes" connect the flanking spires to the central one, but their purpose is unclear.

To give an idea of scale, the pylon houses a normal-sized elevator. The chutes are probably 10-ish feet tall at their apex.

I will be adding this to Somnus, in some capacity.

A few months ago, I did this sketch of Claire wearing the Saint Laurent PAris ice cream dress, from the Surf Sound collection. I thought the initial sketch looked a bit unfinished, though, so I went back and did some quick digital ink wash and tone work.
