Confirmed! Martin Scorsese to film Kenneth Branagh’s Macbeth play!
London: Hollywood filmamker Martin Scorsese is turning Kenneth Branagh’s stage adaptation of Macbeth into a film and will be filming it at the Second World War Leavesden Aerodrome in Hertfordshire.
Alex Kingston is not yet signed, but both Branagh and Scorsese confirmed they are going to ask her to return to her role as Lady Macbeth.
The film is expected to be more of a documentary piece than a straight Macbeth adaptation, following Branagh and his actors as they perform at Leavesden across a period of several weeks.
