One headcanon I have about Joshua Graham is that he's probably an amazing teacher.

Both Caesar and Joshua himself try to make it seem as if it was all Caesar's mind the one to came up with the Legion, but Joshua was the interpreter. He had to be the one to interact with the tribes, not only training them and leading in battle, but also making sure the "voice of the Son of Mars" was heard. Follows-Chalk also tells us that Joshua taught them how to properly maintain their equipment and hunt.

It could be interesting, and probably a rather good ending for him, to become a teacher after the events of Hones Hearts. To put all his skills into a better use.

I always thought of the movie Charlie Chaplin never made, Napoleon’s Return from St. Helena, and some of the elements from that unused script could make a good story for Joshua post Honest Hearts. Learning to live a simpler life, teaching about history and the destructive nature of war and imperialism. Understanding that if he wants to prevent more violence and destruction, it can't come from ambitions of war and conquest, but through learning and remembering.

He's an interpreter, probably a linguist, he can listen to the voices of hundreds, not to burn bridges, but to build them. Joshua Graham could be the perfect Fallout character to write a pacifist, anti-war narrative.

Hi, and thanks for your question! Happy to be in this particular rabbit hole, lol.

I won’t give away too much about my OC, because their identity is a mystery that’s revealed bit by bit over the course of the story I’m planning. But, I will reveal that she is a Vault dweller in her very late twenties. And she meets Joshua after the events at the first battle of the Dam, but their story does not follow the events of the Honest Hearts DLC.

I love everyone’s interpretation of that DLC with their own Couriers, but I have read a lot of adaptations of that. And I want to explore Joshua’s character, and my OC, in a different narrative environment.

Her name is Olivia 🩷

And a fun development as of this week—I have a second New Vegas OC in the works, and I think I will have them meet up at some point for a crossover story. (Does it count as a crossover if you’re the one imagining it all? 😆)
