i love satine. i do. but i tend to ignore everything canon about her and i acknowledge that. but its partially because dave filoni doesnt know,,,, how to write politics? i mean, of course Satine being a pacifist is not a failure of writing, a pacifist mandalorian is actually pretty cool. And also we really,,, don’t know much about mandalorian culture? we really,,, don’t? I mean, idk. And dave filoni had a very hard time distributing of what side death watch or new mandalorians we were supporting. but i think my portrayal of satine is a little different.

my satine is awkward, unsure, but smart, really smart, obtains the darksaber and is so violent during her teenage years shes frightened at what she could be so she becomes a pacifist. and then clone wars shes eventually faced with that part of herself again. a bloodbath. dark blood running through her.

i love luke's solitary vader funeral not only for luke but also because it's like, luke can forgive him - has forgiven him to an extent and let him go - but he won't make anyone else do the same. indeed, the only person indicated by the movie to be involved is leia whom vader wants to know.

it's not about redeeming vader to the galaxy and in fact he probably shouldn't and isn't going to be. because vader didn't in fact do it for the galaxy. he saved luke and was saved in turn. but nobody owes him anything.

so luke holds a silent vigil and remembers his father and is glad that he's free. but. there are billions of lives ruined by him that are still out there. and luke won't tell them to mourn this man with him.
