Introducing the worlds first 3D printed knitting needle holder! - I made this for @imogenlymanfx 21st as she's taken up knitting recently (and she's good at it). "Scarlet" finished this week 🙌 - Blade made of eva and 3d printed handle. This would be used more as a stunt sword/comicon prop. Entering the #apmmawards competion with my full scale muromachi period style samurai helmet and menpo. - The majority if the helmet is cast from fibreglass with details like the Fukikaeshi sculpted (small details were 3d modelled and 3d printed) and cast in Axon F160. Other details were lazer cut. The majority of the helmet was painted and weathered with spray paint. Finished a personal project for my grandad and his gardening themed birthday presents. All digitally sculpted on ZBrush and 3d printed on my prusa i3 mk3s in PLA filament. So I'm nearing the end of week 6 of the project (scary) and here's some of the progress I have made so far on the head portion of my Anubis costume. I started by sculpting a little jackal head (2nd pic) and then combined it with features of a Doberman (1st) to give the Anubis feel. I was playing with the idea of having a geometric head and after sculpting half this is what I wanted to do. I made a paper pattern from this sculpt (4) and scanned it to illustrator where I enlarged it and refined the pattern. After printing it full scale I altered the shape of some of the pieces and am currently in the process of making the final head. The samurai helmet I made to fulfill the historical helmet brief for industry project set by Joe from @fbfx_ltd 😁 - I'm terrible at posting so this is a little late but I'm super pleased with my final helmet. A few small changes need to be made in the future but I'm super happy!! I may put my final video up later 😉 - - Samurai helmet based on the late muromachi period in Japan. It's made of fibreglass with fast cast details, laser cut acrylic and strung with shoelaces which have been weathered and dirty down applied.
