Croquis - assignment partner!felix

“Stay still,” you giggle, “the drawing will turn out weird if you keep moving like that!”. Felix, your model, and assigned partner for this assignment stops in his movements for a bit, and joins in on your giggles.
“Sorryyy,” he sends you an apologetic smile, “it’s really hard to stay still for so long!”. He has been wiggling around like a worm on a string in the wind since you started this.
However, for some reason, you are not even the slightest bit mad at his restless manners. Maybe because of the way he smiles at you, making you believe you just saw an angel. Maybe it is his freckles sprinkled across his pretty face. Every single one seems to be placed perfectly to compliment his every feature. Maybe it is because you are a simp, for Felix, your model and assigned partner for this assignment.
“It’s literally been like 2 minutes, Felix”, you jokingly roll your eyes, and continue on your work. How do you manage to act so calm when your heart is literally about to grow legs of its own and jump out of your chest? Who knows. Maybe you are so nervous you turn calm. That does not make sense. Well, the brain is a mystery of its own.
“That’s, like, 120 seconds. That’s a big number if you ask me,” he shrugs, still smiling that angelic smile of his. Ugh, what is he so studiply cute for? And why does your stupid heart beat so stupidly fast at his stupidly cute antics?
“Well, if you say so,” you snicker and find yourself mirroring his smile, “kind of feel like it depends on what there is 120 of though, stupid”. He chuckles at your words and utters an ‘i guess’.
You look at his posing figure one last time before finishing up your sketch. While taking a closer look at the paper, its smell enters your nose. The time you smelled a book in the library 3 years ago and accidentally made eye contact with the librarian while doing so, flashes before your eyes. Yikes, anyway.
“I’m done,” your eyes travel up to Felix. He stretches his limbs and lets out a yawn so big you would think he was a single father coming home from a 12 hour night shift.
“That was an awful lot of seconds,” he finished stretching and walks up to you, looking at the croquis. He gives you a quick thumbs up.
“But yeah as to what you said, I guess you’re right with that it depends on what there is 120 of. 120 cows may be a lot,” he pauses and his bright smile shifts into a shy one, “but 120 meters to the café around the corner isn’t that far... Do you wanna go there together?”
You blink a couple of times. Is he... asking you out? What? No way. He could also be asking to hang out as friends. Maybe he is not though. Are you thinking too much into this? Is going to a café a date? Are you going insane or is he blushing? Why are you also blushing?
“...Are you... are you asking me out?”
“Um... depends...” He moves his gaze up from the floor and looks at you with big eyes, “do you want me to ask you out?”
“That... that’d be cool actually... yes ”.
