When I was about 15-16, there was a 24 year old man who attempted to groom me. He would write me sexual stories, ask for pictures of me, other nasty shit.

Luckily, my mother stepped in cause she’d experienced something similar as a teen. 

He really had me thinking that I was “mature for my age.” 

(Side note, maybe we should stop telling children that as a compliment for them being intelligent. It made it harder for me to identify it as a threat later when a pedophile used the same phrase.)

Anyways, I didn’t get it at the time. But the MOMENT I turned 24 it hit me how absolutely disgusting it would be for me to go after a 16 year old boy. I blocked the guy on every platform I could think of in that moment, but I missed one. And he noticed. He was livid. I didn’t even know that he still followed me.

I’m tired of people saying these little girls are “fast.” It can literally happen to anyone and not only do girls need to warned, but these men need to be exposed, publicly ridiculed, and jailed.

We as a society need to make it impossible for these predators to hunt and when they rear their heads, we need to chop it off.
