Beautiful Like A Muse
I carry a world inside me
Little people run around
With futures I can never promise
Some futures never found
The air is all polluted
With the voices in my head
Trying to push me off the mountain
Or into someone else’s bed
I think I lost that part of myself
That tells me where my heart could land
It tells me I could have a future
Or lose everything I can
I knew my heart was fragile
Felt like glass between your hands
You let it slip and fall
Crashing once it lands
I learned to reassemble to fit perfectly for you
But then I found someone who made me feel of use
Beautiful like a muse
