cant believe my first non-cosplay contribution to fandom in about 7 years is this incredibly low effort meme

Do you ever think about the fact that Rosts wife and daughter had their throats slit when they were just out of his reach?  Do you think about how he felt watching the Proving, pride and sadness warring within him as he watched the girl he’d raised, the girl who was as much a daughter to him as anything else, the only reason he’d survived being outcast for so long, his Aloy who he held and named and taught all he knew.  Do you think about the complex emotions of watching how Bast still tried to reject her, but the Proving Grounds keeper accepted her - she’d done it, he’d done it, he’d done enough to make sure she could rejoin the Nora, to be forgiven for sins she’d never committed - right before it all went to hell.  Do you think he was going to let her handle it at first, she was well trained and holding her own, until suddenly there was a Carja with a knife to her throat?  His daughter was about to get her throat slit again, history repeating itself, but this time.  This time he can save her.  He’d have given anything to save Alana, he nearly gave everything to gain vengeance/justice, but it didn’t bring her back.  But he can save Aloy.  And that’s worth it

Do you ever think about the way people love?  How sometimes it’s never the words “I love you” but instead it’s “be careful”, “be safe”, “let me help”.  Do you think about Aloy, raised Outcast, struggling with words bc affection was never something expressed freely, showing Erend in a hundred small ways that she cares for him?  Do you think about Erend, for whom acts of service is his giving love language, but desperately seeking words of affirmation? Confirmation he’s doing the right thing, doing good?  How despite the two of them feeling oh so deeply about each other, not always communicating it well enough?  Do you think about the way they have to learn each other first, Erend coming to understand that “stay” isn’t because Aloy thinks he’s incapable, but because she wants him safe, because she can’t imagine the world without him?  About aloy learning that “let me help” isn’t because he thinks she’s not good enough alone, but because he cares too much?  Sometimes love isn’t about the kisses and the passion, it’s reaching out in the dark and knowing that someone is there to hold your hand, someone who’s seen the worst of you and not run away screaming.  Sometimes love is a whispered confession, sometimes it’s checking your travel bag and finding a few extra supplies, just because they cared.  Sometimes love is receiving a holovid taken from an old friend turned traitor, a glimpse of your sister as she lived, rather than how she died.  Love can be messy, but it’s also the simplest thing in the world
