#I kinda liked the ship at first tbh #but seeing it everywhere while not being interested in romance is kinda frustrating #I liked that in project hail mary Ryland not having a romantic partner wasn't seen as sad or some failure on his part #he had a friend in rocky and that was enough #then I also really like iron lung and want to see more content of it that isn't centered around the ship #especially frustrating at times because both of the characters often get mischaracterized in the context of the ship #I want to like it but I'm just not super into shipping nor do I enjoy seeing it overshadow the original media in terms of fan content #Small rant but it just makes me sad seeing two pieces of media that I like get reduced to shipping content constantly
