This is my main blog that I've had since 2013 or so. I've gone through many life phases and fandoms in that time.

At its core, this blog consists mostly of writing advice, memes, other things I find funny, and cute animals. If things I find interesting (re: history/politics/queer theory) cross my dash, I'll reblog them. I try to keep politics to a minimum. Tumblr is my escape from that because holy shit dudes. Have you looked outside lately?

I rarely make personal posts. My ask box here is closed. I don't have a DNI list or anything, but I block/filter very liberally.

Regarding Elder Scrolls

This isn't my main fandom blog. That's azuras-catspaw. I accidentally fell into the TES fandom, starting by reblogging art I liked to a fandom-specific sideblog. Then I got tagged on main for WIP Wednesdays, and now this one is more associated with my fandom activity since that's really hard to pack up and move somewhere else.

imo the term "walkable" in "walkable cities" should be understood to mean "wheelchair accessible" as well, not just literally "possible to walk in". the act of walking in a city doesn't automatically make it walkable

They believe that "they're just doing their jobs" is justification for the government killing people? Then they're a fucking Nazi.

Hey never thought I'd feel the need to make a post about this but here I am.

Protagonists don't need to be good people.

A protagonist doing something does not mean that the story or author inherently supports that action. In fact, the entire classic Tragedy story structure is built on the protagonist being narratively punished for their bad actions. A story can condemn its protagonist's actions while still showing their point of view.

Also, a character being sympathetic is not the same as a character being justified.

more than anything i want a world where a trans girl realizing she is a trans girl faces zero fear from that realization and subsequent coming out. Where she can say "Oh sweet, I can just be a girl? Sign me up!", no worrying if shes girl enough, no worrying if society will accept her, no worrying if she'll be an attractive girl as she transitions, no worrying at all in any way shape or form.
