At Ajeenkya D Y Patil University (ADYPU), we were honored to welcome Mr. Raghvendra Kumar the Helmet Man of India for an inspiring session on road safety, social responsibility, and youth engagement.
Turning personal loss into purpose, Mr. Raghvendra has created a nationwide movement distributing over 75,000 helmets, saving 48 lives, and leading the innovative “Book-for-Helmet” campaign, which has built more than 1,400 libraries that connect literacy with life-saving awareness.
Recognized with the Asian Excellence Award (2022) and the Missile Man Award (2023), he continues to collaborate with the Indian Army, Navy, and Central Military Police, spreading the message of safe and responsible driving across the nation.
His visit to ADYPU strengthens our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals especially Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) and Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11).
As part of this initiative, ADYPU proudly announced the creation of an on-campus Helmet Bank, inspiring students and staff to make road safety a way of life because every action counts, and every helmet saves a life.
