EWAN MITCHELL as AEMOND TARGARYEN House of the Dragon S2E4 - "A Dance of Dragons"
Just watched my dad stare at crow for a solid thirty seconds (during which crow was making cute comments), then turn to go back up the HELM’s stairs and run right into the wall. Couldn’t relate more honestly. Crow has that effect on us all.
*coughs*
Putting this out here so I actually feel some pressure to finish this when I come back from a trip (it won’t help)
me when when the pirates are gay me when. gay
me when when the pirates are gay me when. gay
was not prepared. for ANY of this
….and then they lived happily ever after and everything was fine :))))
when i came out as trans
[ or, toxic masculinity from the perspective of a trans guy ]
when i came out as trans my warm and loving family supported me
but they treated me differently
when i came out as trans my dad asked if he should start slapping me on the back and socking me in the arm instead of hugging me.
when i came out as trans my mom wanted to know if i would still got with her on fun trips to the mall to buy clothes and home decor items.
when i came out as trans my grandfather looked positively startled and overjoyed when i kissed his cheek and told him to drive safe.
when i came out as trans my grandmother asked if it was okay if she hugged me in public or if it would embarrass me.
when i came out as trans my dad told me that he had a lot to teach me— he said this because i told him i thought make up was fun.
when i came out as trans my aunt apologized for kissing me on the forehead.
when i came out as trans my uncle gave me a handshake rather than a hug.
when i came out as trans my cousins hesitated to hug me at the door.
when i came out as trans my family hesitated to show me the casual affection and platonic love they had previously felt free to give.
end toxic masculinity.
show your sons as much affection as you would show your daughters.
let your sons indulge in beauty when they want to and always support them.
do not think for one second that the societal expectation of masculinity is more important than the individual feelings and needs of someone you love.

y’all: bisexuals are fake bc they usually end up in m/f relationships
me, an intellectual: it’s easier and statistically more likely to find a straight person who is attracted to you and compatible with you than to find a lgb+ person who is, especially in small towns. not to mention the fact that a big part of lg community won’t date us, because they are biphobic. also a huge number of bis are nb, so m/f rhetoric doesn’t even fit us. also. there is nothing wrong with bis being in a m/f relationship if it’s healthy. also. stop being biphobic it’s 2017 when will this stop
A-fucking-men
2019 & still true.

Yes — but just the alt-right ones.
On January 17th, 2019, Doug Ford’s government announced a new funding framework for Ontario’s post-secondary education system that, in addition to throwing students further into debt, includes a policy called the “Student Choice Initiative” which will allow students to opt-out of ancillary fees.
As Nora Loreto has written about elsewhere, this move is potentially catastrophic: “If implemented, this would severely weaken, if not kill students’ unions, clubs, associations, services and campus media like radio or the campus press.”
The opposition from stakeholders has been universal, including virtually all elected student union leaders and campus clubs, student newspapers, the Canadian Federation of Students, the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance, the College Student Alliance, the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations, the Ontario Federation of Labour, the Canadian University Press, and many more.
With the entire college and university sector united against Ford’s initiative, the question is: did they even consult any students on this “For the Students” plan? When asked directly about this following her press conference, and then later on CBC’s Power and Politics, Minister Merrilee Fullerton was unable to name a single student or student organization that she had consulted.
But there was one individual on Twitter who insisted that he had been consulted, and even claims that his student organization had come up with the idea.
This was Michele Di Franco, Vice President Finance of the University of Ottawa’s Students for Free Speech. In August 2018, his organization had participated in a provincial Free Speech Roundtable alongside other Free Speech groups from the University of Toronto and York University. Premier Ford and Minister Fullerton were both in attendance. Video from that meeting was posted online by the Ford government the very next day when they announced their new plan to force universities to implement government-mandated free speech policies.
