Life lately.
I feel like I just write "Alive!" every time I am gone for more than a few months on here. But, here I am. I miss my old Tumblr and wish I wouldn't have deleted it. It had years and years of entries on there. But, alas, I can't go back and undo it.
Some things over the past few monthsâŠ
First time buying a size L shirt! 140lbs down. Cried during the Loki finale. And, the last one is something I saw that made me giggle.
Alive!
I am alive. Again. Work and school has swallowed me up completely. I am almost 3 months post-op and nearly 80 pounds down. Having weight loss surgery was the best decision I could have ever made!
I am officially approved for surgery and my surgery date is December 15th!!! Going through the weight loss surgery process is not an easy one but I made it through. I have to start my three week pre-surgery diet the day after Thanksgiving. I drink two protein shakes a day, have a meal at dinner and two cups of broth a day. It's supposed to be a low-calorie, low-carb and liver-shrinking. I have lost 17 lbs already having cut out soda and fast food. I don't know who I am anymore but I'm liking this new person.
The past few months have been a whirlwind. I'm "on the road to surgery" and per my surgeon will have my surgery before December if not in December. It's terrifying. I had a consult with my surgeon, an a resting metabolic rate test with a physiologist. That was a weird test. In September, I have a psych evaluation, a psych test, an exercise evaluation and an upper GI test. Its a lot but I am so ready. I also have a visit every week with my dietitian and nutritionist. They track my weights every day with a digital scale and track my food connected to an app. I can't wait to be so much healthier.
