My favorite genre of information is when someone gives me an explanation that I find equally as incomprehensible as whatever I missed out on in the first place.

My second favorite genre of information is when I learn about some significant new event or discovery and then immediately learn it is a hoax, usually something that would not have affected me in any way but manages to get enough people outraged that literally thousands of them share the hoax and correction, like speed running one of those old timey spiritualist con men from "ghosts real" to "Houdini reveals hoax" but in 0.3. seconds.

It's like some four dimensional net zero information where the only real discovery is a new form of impotent rage.
