It had been a week since the night in the club, and it was safe to say that both the parties: Aliyah and Uzair, were both equally being “weird”
The case was more severe with Uzair, who would uncharacteristically blush or smile to himself at the thought of her. And the thoughts were not only reoccuring, but also did not leave easily
The way she blushed and the way she looked up at him through her seductive eyes had him in a chokehold. The way she softly giggled at his jokes in the car ride back home was engraved into his mind, and he swore he wouldn't dare forget it- he couldn't even if he wanted to.
Most of all, he missed the way she made him feel; giddy, and happy, and normal. He felt like a teenager with a crush.
It was all definitely worrying to the people around him.
Now, Uzair may be a fun guy to be around, a sort of happy, friendly person (in a way) to the people close to him, but he was never like this.
He would often blush at his dinner plate, imagining having dinner with her, or what her cooking might taste like. It made Rehman and Ulfat pass silent looks to each other at the table. This would often happen at work too- where he'd start smiling to himself during meetings or in his jeep, to which Siyahi would raise a brow, or where Donga would have to repeat his name multiple times for him to finally hear.
He also often found himself waiting to hear about her from Hamza; something that might allow them both to hang out- or at least meet. He thought of her so much, it made him restless. Not to mention she appeared in his dreams.
She almost always appeared in the same way, talking to him in her soft voice, or walking towards him with that familiar sensual sway of her hips. She'd be wrapped in soft silk as she would call out his name. Her hair would flow down past her shoulders, just as they were that night, hands adorned with silver bangles that would make his heart flutter as they jingled while she tucked her hair against her ear, revealing more of her sculpted cheekbone.
Like a farishta begging him to sin.

It was a Saturday night when Rehman decided to ask Uzair what was going on; with insistent convincing from his wife of course
So, when the younger brother came back from the warehouse, he found Rehman sitting on the sofa, head resting against the backrest as he took a drag of his cigarette.
“Bhai, aap soye nahi-” Uzair started
“Kya chakkar chal raha hai tera?” Rehman interrupted as he looked at his brother.
The taller man stood dumbfounded. “Kya?” He peeped.
“Jab dekho toh muskurata rehta hai. Kya khichadi pak rahi hai?”
“Nai bhai, aisa kuchh nahi hai,” Uzair insisted.
Rehman stared at him for a beat, with a cocked brow and a slight teasing smile, “Chal, naam bta ladki ka.”
The younger brother sighed in defeat, “Aliyah. Yalina Jamali ki dost hai.”
Rehman nodded. He got up with a victorious smile on his face. He started walking towards his bedroom, then turned back to Uzair, “Nikaah ki umra ho gayi hai teri, gadhe”
Uzair could only stand there, the familiar warmth turning his ears red as he thought of what she would look like as a bride- as his bride.
“Agle hafte ke liye tujhe Balochistan jaana hai,” Rehman announced, turning to walk to his room, “Packing karle.”
“Ji, bhai,” The younger brother muttered softly, before heading upstairs to his room.
The next day, Rehman had ordered asked Siyahi to find information about her, and a decision was made between them, unbeknownst to Ulfat or Uzair.

It was a regular Tuesday morning for Aliyah. She thought of Uzair as she was waiting for her chai to boil, if they were to talk, and if they would ever be something in the future, it was a direct murder of her safety. It made her a target.
Now, she knew how to operate guns and handle a few weapons, but only theoretically.
There was a sudden rap on the door.
Turning the stove on the low heat, she went to open the door, ready to greet her best friend. But she was surprised to find a chubby looking bald man at her door.
“Hello,” she greeted politely, “may I help you?”
“Main Hamza ka dost hoon, Donga." The man stated.
Hamza’s friend? Probably someone from a gang. Probably someone not safe to be associated with. She thought to herself.
“Rehman bhai ko aapse kaam hai, unhone aapko factory mein milne bulaya hai.” the man continued.
Well... shit.
“Actually,” the girl said awkwardly, “mere iss week mid-terms hain…”
“Koi baat nahi, main aapko college tak chhod dunga.” The man insisted.
She swallowed. It won't be smart to directly say no to a gunda who knew her address, she needed to buy time to think about it.
She tried not to fidget with the door handle. “Chai piyenge?” she stepped aside to give him way into the house. The man stepped inside, looking around and then sitting on the old sofa.
As she locked the door, she realised that it wasn't really the smartest to let a stranger in while she was home alone.
Walking to the kitchen, she texted Yalina,
Hamza ka koi takla dost aaya hai Rehman calling me in factory
She quickly sent an attachment of her live location of 24 hours, and selecting both the messages, clicked on ‘Delete for me’
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The car ride to the factory was silent. She tried to not fidget or shake her knees, or even check if Yalina had seen her message. She didn't want to let him know it all made her nervous. Not just nervous, she was terrified.
As they reached the factory, another man opened the door for her and she looked around to try and find a familiar face; anyone- Yalina, Hamza, Uzair. Noone.
She entered the factory and saw the Sher-e-Baloch talking to someone else. He looked much shorter than the men he was talking to, but the body language revealed the power dynamics.
He dismissed the men with a flick of his fingers when his eyes landed on her, beginning to walk towards her.
“Assalam-o-Alaikum, sir.” She greeted him politely.
“Aliyah,” he muttered, “Tum Uzair se shaadi karogi,”
Her eyes almost popped out of her sockets. She couldn't even tell if he was ordering her or asking. Could she say no in this situation? How could she decline safely?
“Uh…” she glanced to Donga, who was equally as surprised “aap puchh rahe hain ki bta rahe hain?” She spoke nervously, trying to keep her tone as polite as possible.
Seeing the astonished look on his face, she internally scoffed. Did he seriously just bring a random girl into the factory and order her to be his brother's wife? How could he just expect her to agree?
When he didn't say anything, the girl cleared her throat, "Thank you for the offer, Sir. I must get going now, mere exam-” she turned around to realise Donga was blocking her exit. She stepped to her side to get around, only to watch as he rested his hand on the gun in his waistband.
She swallowed, turning to Rehman to see him light a cigarette.
“What do you want from me?” she asked, voice wavering.
“I already told you,” he stated.
Mustering the courage, she straightened her back to stand up straight. “That, I cannot do sir,” she said shakily, jutting her chin out.
He blew the smoke in her face, her throat tightened, making her cough, “cannot or will not?”
She swallowed. He knew what she was saying. Why was he making her say it?
“I will not,” she stated.
The man chuckled, glancing to Donga, “right,”
Yalina had told her that they were good people, by good, she meant they didn't disrespect women. So, she knew they won't rape her. The worst they could do was kill her…. Right?
“Karachi College of Weaponry mein padhti ho na?” Her heart dropped to her stomach. He continued, not wait for her to answer, “ tumhare dean sahab ko jaanta hoon.”
That was enough for her.
Ofcourse, she wouldn't marry him, but she did want- no, need- to complete her studies. She had to find a way to negotiate; quickly. She opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off, “Donga,” The older man nodded to a wooden chair kept in the corner of the room.
The bald man dragged her to the chair. "What- no wait- sir main kaam Kar sakti hoon sir, ill work for you. Voh sabh guns aur weapons aur- Main sabh seekh rahi hoon-"
When she saw the man turn away taking a puff of his cigarette, completely ignoring her, she resorted to begging, " Please Rehman sir- aisa na karein, meri baat suniye, please-"
“Don't,” Donga said quietly to you, he tied her hands to the arms of the chair.
She looked between the both of them while registering the word. Aliyah realized why he said it- as long as you didn't try to escape, they had no real reason to kill you.
Not like they needed a reason, she thought to herself, but decided to believe Yalina in that moment- they're good people. She really hoped her friend was right.

Later at night, Rehman had gone home after ordering Donga to stay the night at the factory, to make sure Aaliyah wouldn't escape.
A few hours after the boss had left, Donga tried making small talk. "So uh... kaise ho aap?" He asked hesitantly. She glared. He nodded, "right,"
She shifted lower into the chair, resting her head on top of the backrest. She closed her eyes, trying to rest, when she felt Donga walk over to her.
She opened her eyes to find him standing in front of her, hands clasped around a pack of cards like a kid. "Patte khelengi?"
The girl rolled her eyes, shrugging as she tugged on the ropes. The man nodded slowly, laying on the sofa nearby.
The girl sighed at him, "kabh se yaha kaam kar rahe ho?" It was now her turn to make small talk.
They continued their conversation well into the night, till the point both of them were yawning. He asked her about what she learned about weapons in class, and gladly answered any of her questions about practically handling the weapons.
As they talked, she noticed the man began to doze off mid convo.
"Hamza se meri baat karvaoge? Donga?" She called him softly when he didn't respond,
"Donga?... Donga!" She tried waking him
"Ji bhai- uh.... hein?" The man woke with a start, only to be confused.
"Hamza se meri baat karvaoge kya?" She requested
"Kal dekhunga," he muttered, eyes shutting as he turned his back to her.
She clicked her tongue in annoyance, "Arre yaar," only to be ignored.
She tried calling his name a few times, but the only response she got was his loud, loud snoring.
She decided to check her phone, to see if Yalina had replied. So, she wiggled in her seat, trying to slip her phone out of her pocket. The phone slipped out- and landed directly on the ground with a loud clack.
Shit
She looked to the man to see if she had disturbed his sleep. He was still snoring.
She used the toes of her shoes to flip the phone, and hold it between her feet at the ground. She struggled, but somehow finally managed to press the power button on the side of her phone.
Battery Low, Switched Off
Aliyah groan in annoyance, throwing her head back, almost causing the chair to tip over and fall back. She straightened her back to sit up straight as she tried to regain her balance, eyes wide as she was just about to fall back and break her head.
That would've been a really embarrassing way to die.
As she sat there, staring at the old table fan, she noticed the headlight of a vehicle in front of the gate from the window- most probably a car.
She jumped in her seat, pushing her legs to move closer to the glass. The old chair creaked with each movement, making a scraping sound on the floor.
In that moment, she thanked God that Donga was a deep sleeper. He looked like he was passed out on the sofa, and she wondered if even a bomb blast could wake him.
She awkwardly continued to jump, pulling the chair with her to try and reach the window, when suddenly she heard a woman's voice, "Dekhe main kya le aayi-"
She turned to look who the woman was, and-
Woah
That woman was gorgeous. The kind of beautiful that made teenage girls either sink into their seats or want to be like her. The woman paused, clearly not expecting a young woman tied in a chair. She had a tiffin in her hand- for Donga?
"Tum kaun ho?" The woman asked. "Aliyah," the tied girl muttered. The elder lady furrowed her brows, never having heard of her before. She began stepping away, not wanting to be involved in this business.
"Rukiye!" Aliyah yelled. The snoring paused for a beat, then resumed. "Please meri madad karein," she pleaded, ready to explain herself. Surely, as a woman, she would understand. "Mujhe yahan jabardasti laaya hai, voh jabardasti shaadi karva denge. Agar maine na kari toh voh mere education se interfere karenge. Please- mujhe aur padhna hai, maine abhi tak job bhi nai ki- "
The lady's eyes filled with fury walking to her to untie her arms. For a second Aliyah thought that the woman might hit her by the way she stormed over to her.
She then turned on her heels, walking to the sleeping man. The younger woman quickly picked up her phone and shoved it into her pocket as she followed the lady, not wanting to be alone.
To her surprise, the kind lady threw the tiffin at Donga, causing him to finally wake up with a jolt. "Bhabi aap?" Donga muttered, confused as he saw Aliyah standing behind her.
Bhabi?
Suddenly she realised who the woman was- Ulfat fucking Baloch just resqued her.
"Aap hume Haveli chhod de. Abhi aapki aur Rehman ki class leti hoon," Ulfat was fuming. Donga didn't dare argue, just pulled his keys, and speed-walked to his car. Aliyah watched the lady storm behind him, following her, but stayed in her spot when they reached the date. Now is a good time to leave.
As Aliyah turned, she heard Ulfat's voice, "Tum," she turned to see that she was talking to her. "Chalo mere saath."
She opened her mouth to protest, but was shut up by the woman's glare. So she lightly jogged over to the car, getting in the backseat with Ulfat.
"Tum aage baitho," Donga said, looking at her through the rear view mirror.
"nahi, last time baithi thi toh aapne kidnap kardiya,"
Donga turned in his seat to look at her, but she was saved by Ulfat once again.
"Chalo," the woman ordered, and the car started humming.
Aaliyah silently looked out the window. What the fuck did I get myself into?
