how are you going to watch a show about the catholic church’s disregard for gay catholics and how that can ruin someone’s life (and even end up killing them) written by a gay man suffering through similar tragedies in his personal life and then turn around and make jokes like “jason mcconnell is dead! it’s so funny to make jokes about being sad even though i am completely apathetic to this situation! haha!”

sit down and be respectful to queer art because oftentimes it’s autobiographical and making jokes about the tragedies presented and watering them down to just another “traumatic fandom experience” for you is literally gross
