New Red Dwarf Challenge

Day 20: Favourite Holly Quote/Moment

Her saving of the crew’s lives in “Back To Reality”.

I could have chosen so many amusing moments but I’m going for this because it has such dramatic weight.  Hattie’s Holly is so genuinely concerned for the crew and the way she manages to get through to her fellow machine Kryten by “broadcasting on a higher frequency” is a nice touch.

I guess the fact that it’s also her final scene in canon lends it extra importance to me. She went out on a high.

I made up a random idea of Hotch and Rossi being forced to go to AA (alcoholics anonymous), and it just goes horribly wrong and I may make this into a story if anyone wants me to do that 🤣🤣

Hotch and Rossi were in an AA meeting, as their team aka their chaotic mentally ill work children forced them to go.

Instructor: Aaron Hotchner, do you have something to share?

Hotch: Yeah, this is a waste of my damn time

Instructor: It can help you, and think of the benefits!

Rossi: *interrupting* yeah, the benefits of dealing with our stupid chaotic, mentally ill, no brain cells left work children who cause chaos every damn day

Hotch: Agreed, that's why we drink; it helps us cope.

Instructor: But that's not what-

Hotch: yeah, I'm leaving. This is a bad idea *takes out a flask and downs some scotch*

Rossi: *Does the same, but he drinks whiskey* Agreed, see ya later, losers. This is bullshit and a waste of time.

Both Hotch and Rossi: *leave in tired work parents whilst drinking booze*

Instructor: *Sighs in tired instructor* Welp, it was worth a try but I don't blame them

*Outside the AA building*

Hotch: We're never doing this again; it was such a waste of time
