My first sunset experience in Bagan was far from being idealistic since the suggested temple felt like Disneyland - really packed with tourists. I cringed with embarrassment when I saw other tourists climb to the very top part just to have a better spot. It just felt disrespectful to the temple. My second attempt was a lot better thanks to the cab driver who insisted me to check out this unnamed temple (I'm sure it had a name but it definitely was not on the map) wherein the only other soul was the care taker.
