snoopy pride flags :)
The original pride flag and the sewing machine it was sewn on
I was originally planning on holding off sharing this until June, but then decided to hell with that; why wait?
FURTHER RESOURCES:
Intersections: Indigenous and 2SLGBTQQIA+ Identities – this booklet from the Native Women’s Association of Canada is more intended towards 2S folks, but is still a great read for anyone.
Two Spirits, One Voice – This video from Egale is a great, no more comments needed.
A Two-Spirit Journey: The Autobiography of a Lesbian Ojibwa-Cree Elder – This book by Ma-Nee Chacaby can be a difficult and emotional read, but very much worth it.
Becoming Two-spirit: Gay Identity and Social Acceptance in Indian Country – I have yet to read this book by Brian Joseph Gilley myself, but heard positive things about it.
Please feel free to reblog with more suggestions, if you have them!
[looking at people younger than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at people older than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at myself] its over
I'm not saying God exists, but my least favorite coworker accidentally hurt themselves at work today and I think that's something
Bro I just found out that my then "friend" thought that "alterhumanity isn't a real thing" and that "you can't identify as something nonhuman" while ACTIVELY IDENTIFYING AS ALTERHUMAN THEMSELVES
They even had a Tumblr blog they put a shit ton of effort into???
Turns out they just did that to get closer to me because that way we'd have "more things in common"
It's genuinley insane how much time and effort they put into upholding all of their facades (cause there were several, not just this one) while actively complaining about it behind my back like bro why would you do that pls touch grass??
I'm not gonna call them out, they're not active cause there's no reason for them to pretend anymore now that I'm far, far away from them, plus I don't wanna draw negative attention to them directly. Sorry if that sounds like I'm trying to come off as "heroic" or something, I'm just trying to explain that this isn't supposed to be a call-out or anything
I've had past experience with people lying about their gender or sexuality in order to gain access to my group of queer friends. I do think this is an important topic to discuss, being queer is such an intimate detail and immediately builds trust. Trust that would normally take multiple meetings and conversations before developing that same amount of trust with a straight acquaintance.
It can be extremely difficult to tell if someone is being truthful, but at the same time I don't know what a good "solution" would be.
Treat everyone that comes out as queer as if they're lying to you?
That hardly seems like a good idea, but what else is there to do? How do I prevent people from having to go through the same things I did?
If anyone has any advice or recommendations, or if you've had a similar experience I'd love to hear about it in the comments
You are me, I am you.
know, just like that, slowly gazing at the reflection, you begin to see the one with the furry face.
Two pairs of similar eyes gaze into each other.
Alterhuman Dysphoria
Something in-between but not quite there.
Does anyone have a post or anything explaining the various alterhumanity/nonhuman terms? what is transspecies? otherkin vs. otherhearted? fictionkin? I'm seeing so many words for the first time
It’s so weird being asked to do human things. What’s math? Why am I doing this?
This cat has to file her taxes by next month
fuck human expressions of anger. bring back growling. bring back snarling. lets snarl at each other.
I just remembered I haven't shown off my gear yet, here is my collar!
I accidentally gave myself a tiny cut and the urge to lick the wound is unbearable
Theriotype Craft Idea: Bead Animal Keychains
Depending on what level of detail you want, you can go for regular chunky beads or, for more detailed designs smaller beads
For more humanoid shapes, I think simplified chibi-style pixel art could be used instead, alot of us have beads but even if you have to go out and buy some they're extremely cheap, so I think this is a pretty accessible craft compared to some of the others out there
