okay hi so last night i saw something that was really fucking disturbing and i feel like it has to be addressed. i want to first state this is not a public callout nor is it something i want to be reblogged all over the rpc. this is also not an attack on anyone’s choice of media or muse or whatever. this is a reiteration of a hardline rule for me and what i believe should be a hardline rule for anyone even vaguely in my vicinity. 

under no circumstances is it acceptable to use n/azi imagery or illusions of such imagery as aesthetics for your roleplay blog. it doesn’t matter if it is from a vfx project only made to look exactly like the real thing. i thought this is something people in the rpc, especially people who laud themselves on being so thoughtful and research driven, understood – imagine my utter disbelief when i stumbled upon  < this > while scrolling though a fucking zat/nna zat/ra blog. imagine my further disbelief realizing the OP is hellsf/ire aka srik/ingo, who i know a lot of my mutuals are also mutuals with. i don’t know how this is something anyone thinks is okay to post and/or reblog onto other people’s dashboards??? there aren’t even any trigger warnings??? this is extremely triggering. i’m seriously confused because in my eyes, and i’m sure the eyes of most people who look at it, this is very obviously not okay.

i don’t really add to stuff like this, but as someone who’s been friends with the op for two years, i feel like i should add stuff in here.

currently, they’re going by sev (and have been for the two years i’ve known them, at least on discord) and while we haven’t been close friends, we’ve been casual, and this stuff is severely grossing me out as someone who’s jewish. i’ll try to refrain from adding personal opinions, though i have them, and just stick to saying.

not only is this disgusting, but this carelessness (especially coming from someone obsessed with research to the point of changing a character’s name because it “needs to be the german spelling”) is not only disgusting, but completely irresponsible, especially from someone in the snk community, as it’s really a piece of media that you have to consume critically due to the creator’s viewpoints and uncomfortable parallels to real life events.

i just wanted to add that these events have made some things come to light that are now,, uncomfortable in retrospect, mostly joking, but sev has a fascination with genocide in relation to eren that’s uncomfortable at best if this isn’t merely a case of ignorance.

camp halfblood have been given their first quest, and as they set out to save persephone, the world continues to shift around them. monsters are more frequent, seeming to be alive longer and longer. the world thaws around them as winter turns into an early spring, a dragon still wanders around the forest beyond the camp, and the citizens of new rome are left wondering why their prayers top the goddess seem to be more hollow than before. it’s a great time to join castra bellum, with one quest starting up and things in motion for others, and we’d love to have you!
