This past weekend was my first regional and, man, was it exciting! We placed 2nd, and I got to experience finals for the first time!! Wow! I still can't believe I'm a part of this fantastic group.

Pictures from SEI’s 2013 show: Us Southeast Independent’s 2013 production, US, is about a statue made up of 14 different people coming to life and telling their story. Throughout the show, statues are formed in groups while others continue to spin. Your eye never really knows what to focus on while random shenanigans ensue until the first ensemble moment during the flag ensemble. Can I just say that it still blows my mind that I am a part of this? It’s been 5 long years in the making….and I actually did it. I made it. I put in the time and the effort. I did what so many people said I wouldn’t do. But I am… I’m doing it. I’m living a dream. And that is so incredible to me. Not a day passes when I don’t think to myself. “Holy crap, Hannah. You spin in an independent guard. You’re going to compete at WGI. You are living a dream with a group that you always wanted to be a part of.” It’s just baffling to me.

oh my gosh, I totally get it. It's so unreal to me. I still haven't fully grasped the concept that I am in SEI. The group I saw in middle school and fell in love with. There are middle schoolers who see us and feel the same way, and it's just incomprehensible to my mind that I'm really here.

SEI is going to be at Anderson County (2/28), Sullivan South (3/7), Mid-East (3/14-3/15), Byrnes (3/21), CIPA Champs (3/28), and Worlds!!
