Gwenpool post of the day, with some panel fuckery as a treat
Ok so, Christopher Hastings said that Gwen was originally supposed to have brown hair whiiiich made me think of this
Gwen with Neapolitan hair, best of both worlds
Ctrl+C Intro!
We all know Caine's avatar generation isn't particularly great, but what if it was somehow even *worse*?
What if you were particularly unlucky, and didn't even get to face for your existential crisis with your own face?
Pages 5-6 Pages 7-9 pages 10-12 pages 13-15 pages 16-18 (end chapter 1)
The whole idea was inspired by Caine mentioning his algorithm to create bodies based on mind files, in episode 8
And it got me thinking “what if he half assed that as much as name generation, and it really didn’t actually take much into account?”
anyway, I'm sure this won't be a thinly veiled trans experience allegory *will add link to pt2 when that's up, I gotta figure out tumblr formatting
I’ve gotta gwenpost more often, someone’s gotta keep up
She would be so fucking snarky about this I just know it. Add Gwenpool to marvel rivals you cowards!
If this gets 10 likes I’ll draw her in a cute swimsuit
Ok multiple cute swimsuits
one actually designed (idk how well it holds up to marvel rivals design standards tho) and one of her canon swimsuit from Strikes Back just for fun
And a beach themed recolor for the sun dress, I feel clever for thinking of putting her G belt buckle on her hat. Also since the dress is now blue her eyes are now pink.
I do want Gwen in rivals but this is also just an excuse to play dress up w her. I have no idea what her move sets would be so idk if these designs would need to keep any features like her katana or gun holsters

This is what I think is going on
Mojos head is so hard to draw????
Oh yeah before the Ace Force fake cover I actually planned on doing this one first but I ended up not fixing it (I jazzed up the sketch colors for u tho 😋)
It had the other working title of “Perception Is Reality” but I figured “Omicron” by itself would be a better selling title, yes it’s from X-Men: Worst X-Men Ever used by beast to describe Miranda’s mutant reality warping abilities. Given that Miranda’s abilities are like if Gwenpool didn’t have editorial oversight I thought it was fitting for all three of these reality warpers (although Gwen is currently the weakest of the three, I think a book like this could serve as a training arc for her)
I don’t have a concrete idea on what a book like this would be, but I’ve had several fleeting thoughts about different possibilities. The first time I brought it up here on Tumblr. I originally imagined it as there being some sort of reality-based threat that necessitated a team up. Then later, I had the idea that Wanda might serve as a good mentor for all three of them with their powers since there are a lot of moral quandaries involved with reality manipulation that would be really neat to explore. And then, even later one of my classmates brought up Legion to me (Charles Xavier son) And I had a thought that he might be a cool villain for this team up especially considering the wishy-washy nature of their mutant statuses, but like a villain that needs help?? Although I’m not well-versed on his lore AT ALL, so I don’t know how that would pan out
Anyway thanks for reading I just literally forgot I had drawn this

In hindsight, I think the most disappointing thing about Cavan Scott’s Gwenpool run was that the central premise of Gwen Stacy(‘s clone) returning as “Weapon X-31” is conceptually excellent for both drama and comedy purposes. It’s a shame that most of that potential was utterly wasted.
The Volume 11 run itself even points out the homage to/parody of past cases of supportive side characters becoming gritty antiheroes like Winter Soldier and Red Hood, and Clone Gwen Stacy’s new brooding Weapon X attitude works as both a contrast to her original self and to Gwen Poole’s zany humorous personality that masks her own existential worries. With that alone, you’ve got plenty to work with (provided you don’t shove Gwenpool aside to do yet another uninspired Spider-Angst plotline) but we can go even further with this idea. For example:
this and also the only difference between fanfic writers and writers who sell their own original works as careers is that fanfics aren’t monetized. that’s all.
being a “professional” writer doesn’t mean your works are inherently better than fanfics. I’ve read so many fics that are more professionally written than some published books.
whether or not a piece of writing is monetized has nothing to do with its quality.
anon in my inbox said fanfic writers who wrote about dark and taboo topics were not “real writers” because of what they wrote about.
reblog if you believe anon is wrong and writers are writers, no matter what they write about. no matter how they portray these taboo topics.
reblog if you believe art can be about topics that are controversial, taboo or outright disturbing, and artists who create controversial, taboo or outright disturbing art are as valid as artists who create art of conservative values.
reblog to laugh at anon ♡

Oc redesign, none of you guys care but yeah I revamped her
I’ve been a bit absent in the gwenposting department whoopsee
I think I said this in the tags of a post a while ago, but Cecil calling her comic awareness “her Truman Show thing” as a dismissal is really fucking funny to me because the whole point of the Truman Show is that he is actually on the Truman Show. Like. Truman is right.
(I didn’t feel like finishing all the Gwen’s)
