Uh Oh, I’m Rewatching It Again

This is an SPN side blog where I plan to rant about the show and reblog stuff. Essentially, it’s a place for me to get out all of my supernatural joys and frustrations.

Hey, I go by Turnip! I am no where near new to the spn fandom, but this side blog IS new. I’m really just using this as a place to get my thoughts on Supernatural out, as I rewatch along.

I’m working through season 13 and full of opinions, so expect to see those soon!

I’d love if people followed, but ultimately this is just a place to spill all my thoughts and get some reblogs going!

Is crazy that every interpretation of Lucifer on Supernatural was the cuntiest guy ever, and then when Jared plays him, he plays him incredibly serious.

I’m really curious what the direction was for Jared because I don’t think it’s on him. I think they needed him more serious when in Sam to have the tone carry. I just think it’s interesting that he becomes so much more serious when in his true vessel (probably because he’s about to get to actually business fighting his brother in the apocalypse).

I've always sort of headcanoned that lucifer treats sam as that one dress you don't fit into but you keep telling yourself if you diet enough and work out enough then one day you'll finally, finally be able to wear it, but until then why bother trying to look good. any other vessel is like sweatpants and a t-shirt to him. he gets food all over them, they get rips and tears, and he just doesn't care. but he would take pristine care of that coveted dress.

there's a reason why lucifer never bothers to style himself in any of his vessels except sam.

The thing about destiel is that it will be discussed for decades to come it's got spirk level longevity you can dismiss it you can beat it in a poll and it won't go away. It won't ever go away. Look at how people talk about spock. That's castiel. Your anime lesbians will burn bright and fast and then the world will forget. but destiel is forever. How I sleep knowing 😁

being in the supernatural fandom is so funny. there are pages-long essays about characterization, metaphors and picture. there is a lot of crack. the fandom is divided whether you ship world's biggest age gap or incest. one of the main actors has an ao3 account and has probably read the fanfiction. another one of the main cast made his own fanfaction and turn it into a tv show. your favourite characters dies, you laugh bc it wont last, the stay dead for a little bit too long and you start to get worry, they get resurrected and damn, these writers dont know when to stop, its the third time they died and came back, fucking commit to it. we all hate the writers and producers. literally invented queerbait and we all fell for it. a random character from a totally unrelated show is canon bisexual and wow, we are trending. you want to defend your fav character and your main obstacle is your fav character (you gaslight yourself into "all fault is on the writers not my baby"). we out-trended the us elections and contine to trend on every anniversary of that day. we discuss which season is the best like they arent a recycled plot we already seen. the show was meant appel to conservaties and the fandom is made of gay people somehow. the main characters are alcoholic murderers that do extremely questionable stuff every season and we love them for it. someone outside the spn fandom finds out you are in and they look at you like you are insane and you cant even blame them.

Supernatural Season 2 Infographics

I'm just a person obsessed with statistics and infographics. I claim in no way that any of this is 100% correct, though I do try to fact check as much as I can. Also I'm not American (or have ever been to America), so I have no clue where any of the places on the map actually are and am just trying to get it as accurate as possible with what google maps is telling me.

I used DistanceFromTo to calculate the miles/kilometers. This site doesn't use actual driving routes, but just calculates the distance between two points, so the boys probably travelled a lot more.

Tracking Jensen's micro-expressions in this scene reflecting Dean's thoughts as he tries to justify killing himself to Castiel makes me wanna dunk my head into my koi pond. Dean is like "😌🙂" but Castiel is all "no you're wrong 😤🫵" and then "so this goodbye? 🥺💔 " and then Dean goes from "😠😤🫵‼️" to "😰😟🥺😔" in a span of two seconds. I'm sorry that this whole angry cat thing is just not working for you anymore, Dean. You've been domesticated.
