My dad decided to show me Star Trek after years of asking if I'd be interested and me always being unsure. I grew up with Star Wars so I always saw them pitted against one another and people made it seem like I couldn't enjoy both. However, I didn't realize how wrong everyone was! my favorite thing that happens in TOS is when they encounter some weird shit and then sulu turns around to us/kirk to make sure we’re all seeing the same thing. anyways my favorite example of this is when they encounter abraham fucking lincoln.
