@sportadork
my favorite 5 seconds of the show the literal dog
the awkward lack of any music in the background makes it more special imo
AHHHHH if you’re an active LazyTown blog in 2023 please reblog this!!! I need more of it on my dashboard please 🙏🙏😩
oh, to be robbie rotten. living under ground in a cool bunker eating cake and playing dress up everyday while some himbo hunk tries to stop me evil schemes.
Some say he's still there to this day
Hiya! I’d just like to say that I love your art and I think you’re absolutely amazing!! ❤️ Do you have any tips on drawing & getting proportions right? Thanks!! xxx
This may not necessarily be the “right” way in, say, a professor’s opinion, but it’s more how I think I personally work. I have to say, I haven’t given it much thought beforehand.
The first thing I’m going to say is: PRACTICE. I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil, so I have technically had ~20 or so years of experience. You observe a lot in your younger years, which brings to a related point of: OBSERVE. Take in how different people look and how they move. Drawing from life is going to be your best point of reference. And if you want to stay home, use websites like sketchdaily or line-of-action, or even just google images. You can set timers on these websites for when the images change, so you can practice gesturing and drawing faster, and they use real people.
I go to an art college, so obviously I’ve had classes over this stuff, but most of my improvement comes from my own work. As you continue to draw, you will begin to notice the flaws in your own work, and that can help you to understand them and continue to improve on them. Gradually, it becomes easier to understand shape and form. Once you come to understand the anatomical structure, it’s easier to develop and improve your own unique style.
Observation, even unintentionally, is my greatest ally, and that of any other artist. I will use a couple LT screencaps as examples since I draw Sportacus and Robbie most often. I tried to show how I sort of see things.
I have rewatched this show over and over again, and honestly, most of the heavy improvements I’ve seen in my art over the past year, even a few months, has been because of LazyTown. To me, this show is basically what I would call a “live-action cartoon.” The actors, especially Stefan, have a very defined “line of action” in many scenes, which usually come as lines, C curves, or S curves. The, well, tight clothes, and defined muscles, of Magnus and Stefan alike, have made it easy to observe the muscle structure and how it works without really thinking about it. Practically any screencap you take from LazyTown is good for gesture and anatomy practice, and has helped in the process of creating more dynamic, and considerably less stiff poses.
I hope that helps!! Thank you! <3

SPORTACUS’ UNIFORM IS NOT HIS FUCKING EXOSKELETON
prove it
my proof:
this is just his uniform/exoskeleton with the legs shed (probably in self defence, similar to how some lizards can shed their tails) - the rest of his “uniform” remains intact and this proves NOTHING
He Sheds His Uniform? He Sheds His Fucking Uniform Like Skin? He What?
you heard me
Why would u say this
Why did no one ever tag me in this
Anyway again I stand by my theory that his sportasuit is his elf shell. Like I said his whole body disappears when hit with the zapper 6000 wereas Robbie’s clothes alone disappear, which is suspicious at best and implies that it’s all the same material. His skin, or someone else’s? You decide
Perhaps it’s less of a hard encasing, and more like snakeskin? If so, he probably needs breaks to shed occaisionally
Are you saying Sportie is naked at all times?!
I can’t stop thinking about that clip where Magnus says “Shit” and I keep scaring my cat with spontaneous bursts of laughter
Legitimately want LAZY TOWN as knuc tats
