It’s fucking crazy to me how many pop stars miku has outlived in relevance
WHAT THE FUCK?
Miku’s virtual status means she has no fixed identity and no set musical style. Miku has died countless times, replaced by new incarnations of herself with more relevant aesthetics.
It’s like if, every year, hundreds of pop stars debuted, produced songs, then died within months of their debut, and they were all named Taylor Swift. Thus creating the illusion of an ur- or gestalt-Swift.
Miku is neither musician nor genre.
Miku is an instrument.
You wouldn’t marvel at the saxophone still being relevant.
i do actually
