Alright everyone, bear with me as I get everything set up. May not happen until the weekend (or later, I occasionally procrastinate excessively)

But on offer shall be a selection of supes, who are part of Rescue Squad. These are the guys who go into burning buildings, dig through the rubble from natural disasters, and don't accidentally break people's spines in transport. They're not perfect, but they're definitely not doing this just for the money.

Upcoming supes include:

Chief: also known as Aaron Cadell, he is the first member of Rescue squad. He was put into a firehouse when he was 18, in an attempt to "diversify" the kind of roles heroes play. He's not a fighter, he's a fireman, going into burning buildings wearing what is essentially a Speedo. Able to absorb heat energy through his skin and use it to heal from most injuries, as well as to boost his own strength, he's more useful for putting out fires than fighting. But he's not just a firefighter, Vought also had him put into doing adult content, but to him that's more something he does for the cash to be able to help people.

Ray: also known as Raymond, Ray works as an X-ray technician, but he doesn't actually need the machine. He's primarily Search and Rescue, as well as a structural expert. Instead of using his laser vision to harm, he has trained extensively to figure out how to use it to wield. If a supe accident has damaged a building and it's got structural damage, he's Aaron's first call.

Ace: (name tbd) specializes in flight, and they're transport. They're one of Aaron's oldest friends, and Ace was the second official member of Squad. They're also a damn good cook.

Timber: Timberly, or Kimothy, it depends on the day. Just call her Kim. Her strength is unmatched, and it took her so long to learn how to control it. She's got more trouble not lifting things than she does lifting them, and if you need something held back she's your girl. The immovable object, once her feet are planted she's not budging, and if you gave her a handhold she could lift a mountain.

Gremlin: also known as Trinity (yes, like in the Matrix) Gremlin is technically just a member of Junior Squad, which is more of a training school/support system than anything else. They can't speak, throat having been cut when they were young, but that doesn't stop them. Any piece of technology within range is their plaything, and they can speak using any nearby speakers. If a nearby phone knows it, or the internet has the information, then they can get it. Nothing is safe from them, and if it is zeroes and ones, then it's their plaything. Just make sure to do all your corrupt activities with pencil and paper, and never let a computer know what you're doing, or else you may find yourself a victim of the hacker known as "Gremlin."

Aaron has trouble picking just one, he spends long nights alone and awake, so it really depends on his mood. Right now he's going with Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know. Before that it was definitely Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane.

Aaron has had multiple supe names and costumes over the years, as Vought was playing around with how to properly market a supe that was doing rescues and firefighting instead of one who was out punching criminals.

Many of them were incredibly stupid, and he can't even count how many of the outfits burned (many of them intentionally, especially anything with a fucking cape)

His first supe identity was "Sparky" and he absolutely hated the name, because the last thing you want as an 18 year old is a name that sounds like it belongs to a dog... especially when after a few days some of the guys at the firehouse decide that the best way to haze the new guy is to get a pet for the station and give it the exact same name.

The costume was also incredibly awful. After all, they wanted his appearances not only to be the PR boost that comes with having a supe that doesn't beat people up and seems more "grounded" but they also wanted it to help advertise the fact that people would also soon be able to watch him on VoughHub, and that he would also be doing appearances at strip clubs.

They had gone all in on the "sexy firefighter" aspect, so his costume was more "firefighter themed stripper" than anything. We're talking capes, suspenders, garters, and speedos type fashion choices. Aaron spent a lot of those early days feeling like their little dress-up doll, and he definitely struggled with it a lot. After all Vought's bullshit was taking him away from the firehouse, which was the whole reason he'd wanted the job.

Of course even in those days he did have a more "professional" suit, for if he was doing any meet and greets where there were children present, or where they wanted him to dress more conservatively. It still showed off way more cleavage than Aaron would have wanted, and was definitely still a little tight around the groin, but it was much closer to a bunker suit than to something that belonged on stage at a strip club.

Now that he's a grown man and his younger sister has taken over handling the legal aspects of things he's managed to get a little more control over the costumes. He's also been able to keep the same supe name for years, Chief. Something actually respectable, even though he usually calls it his stripper name.

His standard costume is still incredibly skimpy, Vought justifying it because he absorbs fire through his skin, and so the more skin on display the more heat he can absorb. But it at least goes a little higher on his hips now, he doesn't have to worry about underwear malfunctions, there's no cape that keeps catching fire, and he's been able to modify the footwear to be closer to sexy cowboy workboots than to the nonsense "cowboy boots but for strippers" he'd been forced to wear. It's also comfortable enough to wear under his day-clothes, and the boots work well, so he no longer has to either delay for a costume change or go in with what's basically a fire-resistant speedo that occasionally slips when he's doing something that requires a lot of movement and boots that like melting and having to be peeled off his legs along with a few layers of skin.

The variants for standard use are also a lot better, he's actually got a shirt (even if it does fit like a second skin and has a V that goes deep enough that he could take it off like it was a pair of suspenders) and he gets to wear pants sometimes, even if they are a little tight. Better than walking through some stupid event looking like he's about to go on-stage and start taking off what little clothing he's got on.

He's also now got an actual kevlar suit for major rescues, which is great because his skin is nowhere near unbreakable. His fire absorption just happens to help power up an absolutely broken healing factor. It comes with pouches for gear and a fire-axe and everything he could ever need... even if he only really gets to break it out during major wildfires and cleanups. It's definitely his favourite suit, and he wishes he could wear it move often.

How does Squad work? Well it's complicated, but at its core it is Aaron's baby. It's been decades worth of blood, sweat, and tears... as well as pretty much every spare penny of pay that Vought ever gave him. Both his pay for the firefighting and supe stuff, as well as the money that Vought offered him if he was willing to do... adult content.

Initially everything started when Vought was trying to branch out into rescue work as opposed to crime fighting. They had done auditions to see about putting a supe into a firehouse, and Aaron had managed to get the position (as well as some work in Vought's... adult industry) despite the fact that he was late for his interview and nearly missed it (which is a story for another time) Aaron has since assembled the first Squad, and it has grown quite dramatically, to the point where they have an entire campus that includes the main building, as well as lots of land that features training grounds for everything from search and rescue, to horseback riding. The biggest secret to their success is a supe Aaron met early on named Pollyanna. Her ability is to scan the minds of everyone she makes eye contact with and judge their intentions, as well as if they are lying. Polly helps them filter their applicants and keep unsavoury people from getting accepted into Squad... well that and the fact that every single member of Squad has to go to mandatory monthly therapy sessions, even Aaron. He knows first-hand how many supes deal with supercharged mental illness, and the work they do can be incredibly traumatizing. One of the things they have that Aaron is proud of is the Junior Squad, which allows young supes a place to be kids and helps teach them how to control their powers. They also offer training for other supes... not that people usually take them up on it. They get funding from Vought, and have a similar framework to things like the Starlight House, but Aaron is incredibly careful with the amount of control Vought has. Basically Vought has the license for certain marketing things, and they get good publicity because Squad supe teams work in disaster relief, firefighting, and rescue ops... but Aaron makes sure that he has the final say, and has everything looked over by his sister Anna-Mae, who is a damn good contract lawyer. Squad also gets funding from various other sources, and functions as a non-profit. Squad is definitely not seen as being glamorous, especially not by the high ranking teams at Vought proper. They don't get the same kind of glory, because their stuff isn't always flashy and they refuse to do fake calls. But they're absolutely vital for cleanup and for emergency services, working side by side with local firefighters and medics and helping keep people safe. Unfortunately, Aaron, and the rest of Squad, do not always get along with the rest of Vought. While on call Aaron is "Chief" and he does not respond well to the adult supes with delusions of godhood who can't control their powers well enough to avoid casualties that should not have happened... or the ones who don't care who they hurt. It doesn't matter if someone's a F-rank supe no one knows about, or if they're one of the Seven, they better not try to tell his people what to do. If they don't have the right training, then they're not in charge, and he won't let their need for a photo op get in the way of doing the job right.
