Doing some late-night, last-minute research, like every teenager on the planet.
I have a huge soft spot for The Adventures of Tintin and need to thank it for pulling me out of a year-long art slump! I spent a good long time on this, but I’m extremely happy with how it turned out. The background is a stock image, and everything else was drawn on paper and colored in Gimp.
Okay now I’m done #tintin #art
These are from our visit to the Belgian Comic Strip Centre. It’s a lovely little museum in a beautiful art nouveau building, with exhibitions about the history of the comic strip, artists, and their techniques. BD are very important in the city and there are monuments and murals dotted around the place.
Bonus: If you look carefully you will see that Paul has styled his hair here to look like Tintin’s.

Perhaps more colloquial: “The first mistake is to get out of bed.”
