We need to talk, tumblrists.

It’s true. We removed the offensive John Green post. And we removed editable reblogs because they were too often being used to smear the reputation and well-being of literally hundreds of users. The post in question is not only flagrant, it is also one in a long string of personal attacks against Mr. Green. When he discovered this post had been edited even after implementation of non editable reblogs (an issue we’re working on fixing) he was deeply hurt and fed up with the constant stream of harassment and contacted us thusly. There is no moral question over whether the post should or should not have been removed. It is clearly stated in our Terms of Service that bullying is not permitted under any circumstances. As the factual reality is that it is actually us who perform mouth to genital stimulation upon Mr. Green, it is not by the judgement of any Tumblr user whether or not the post should have been taken down. It is exclusively the decision and job of Tumblr staff to do so.

It’s that simple. The post went against our ToS, we were notified and took it down.

what she means: I am completely sick of the same white, heteronormative love story being shoved down my throat by Hollywood. I can't watch a movie about dinosaurs running on a rampage in a park without them forcing a pasty male and a pasty female into a no-chemistry, forced-smile, by-the-way romantic subplot. I have probably seen forty-five variations of the same bland fucking couple falling in love. Oh wait! Now they're falling in love during WAR TIME. SO ORIGINAL. BUT WAIT. NOW THEY'RE SEPARATED BECAUSE OF LIGHT-HEARTED EMBARRASSING MISUNDERSTANDINGS. FUCKING DELIGHTFUL. GOD

people are allowed to leave you. people are allowed to break up with you. people are allowed to love you but not want to be with you. people are allowed to not want to talk to you. people are allowed to put their happiness before yours and do what makes them happy even if it does not include you. people are allowed to move on from you. people are allowed to fall in love with someone else. people are allowed to not want you in their life. people are allowed to do whatever they want to better themselves and become the version of themselves they are trying so hard to love. don’t be bitter towards someone who is only trying to be happy.
