Hii, I love your art of Mayuri and Kenpachi. Your line art is so clean, and your knowledge is evident in each one.
I have a few questions, but please answer them if you're comfortable.
How did you learn to draw? What kind of brushes or drawing apps do you use? Do you usually use references? I was also wondering if you do sketches or draw directly. Can you draw Mayuri and Kenpachi from memory? (Idk why, but I would be very excited to see that).

i've just always loved to draw, ever since i was a very small child. i've never really studied it seriously, i've just been drawing a Very Long time now so if i'm any good at all, it's literally just because of that!
to draw and colour i use Paint Tool Sai 1 (Paint Tool Sai 2 is objectively better - not only is it more versatile but it also has more memory - but i can't get the brushes to feel the exact same that they do in Sai 1, so i haven't been able to move on to it yet), and for the stuff Sai can't do i use photoshop and clip studio paint. i would love to be able to move to clip studio paint full-time since it's very good and versatile and i've paid for it and everything, but drawing in it just feels so different and weird to me and i don't know how to make it feel less weird, so for now i just use it for stuff that Sai 1 can't do
the brushes i use in Sai are extremely basic, and i use the same brushes for pretty much everything from sketching to lineart to colouring and shading
this (Pencil 1, i'm very creative with my brush names) is the brush i use for almost everything except laying down flat colours, i just adjust it constantly to suit my needs: i change the values for size, min size, density, texture strength (the Med Grain texture seen here is just a resized version of the Large Grain texture that comes with the program), blending and dilution all the time depending on what feels right at any given moment and what i'm doing, but these settings are roughly what i use for sketching
i use reference when i need it, though still probably not enough xP i do A LOT of sketches, many different iterations until i'm completely satisfied with every single detail. people who can just draw without a sketch - or have just one extremely loose sketch - are a complete mystery to me!
i'm pretty confident in my ability to draw mayuri from memory (though whether i'm any good at it is a different matter entirely lmao) but i'm still not used to drawing kenpachi so i usually look up references for him - he has such a specific kind of facial structure that i don't feel like i can get him to look like himself without reference
