IM FINALLY UNDERSTANDING COLOR THEORY

it’s super annoying and I hate it, but

that looks VERY GOOD. Especially since there are only 3 base colors (skin, hair, iris), plus rim lights and the white. I’ve recently been trying a more sketchy artsyle, especially because there are many procreate brushes I haven’t used yet. This one was made with the brush 6B pencil, in the Classic Library under Sketching.

Fish Wings

I wanted to draw Fish with wings, and the drawing IS good, but I can NOT draw her from the front with wings out without needing a censor bar

I decided to base her wings off of a vulture and then immediately decided that took too much thought, so she just has generic wings. I’m also experimenting with where to give all my ocs scars, so there will be differences in every drawing until I decide on placements. +Buff Fish

Having zero concept of what attraction feels like is weird

I’m like 83% sure I’m AroAce (Aromantic & Asexual), because I’ve NEVER felt anything about friends other than “you’re my friend now! :D”, I don’t even have best friends. BUT, the problem is that I’m an artist, and sometimes my characters need to be conventially attractive. So, I end up having to walk up to my two cousins (Bi and Cis) and holding up a photo and asking “IS THIS ATTRACTIVE!?!?”

Good news is that usually the answer is “Yeah, but why is she fully flat/ Yeah, but why is his chest so girly?”

DnD character!

This is Amias, they (so far, might make them a guy) don’t have a gender and are a reborn Swashbuckler Rogue!

They died from drowning, but they suspect murder! They docked their ship to do repairs, and while getting ready to board again, were thrown into frigid water, killing them. They died in the peak of piracy mid 1600s- early/mid 1700s and were necromanced in some time later (we don’t have a DM yet, so idk what time period it’s in). They don’t have many memories, but they have a small hand carved locket of a skull with torn fabric, and a deep desire for answers!

DnD Questions

Im doing my first DnD session, and I know what I WANT my character to be (backstory, goals, previous employment) but I don’t have any idea what the race & class should be.

they’re a necromanced corpse who was dead for at least two years, their goals are to find out who murdered them and who necromanced them. They used to be a pirate, but their crew all joined another ship or got killed as well.

their hobbies are knot tying, inspecting fish, interrogating, and climbing.

What race & class would be best suited for this character? (name is a WIP)

Using yourself as a reference for how a human body looks can be weird sometimes

I use myself as an art reference, and I haven’t had a problem. But then I was planning to make an Art Anatomy Tips on my yt because I haven’t posted in months, and I was telling my friend about some of the things I intended to share. The only thing I mentioned at that point was “Hands are the size of a persons face” before they immediately refuted it.

turns out I just have YAOI HANDS, hands are NOT normally the size of a face!

Fun Facts About my OC’s!

Fifi:

•She has no ears, but can still hear •makes earrings because she knows Kiki steals her jewelry, she just doesn’t know how

•might make her gf a singer, but also might make it an unrequited love??? Idk??

•so far STILL has no first name, it’s surprisingly hard to find a French name that matches Kimani but has Fi somewhere in it.

Fish:

•was (previously) part of a cult and working as a hitman for it with a preference for guns

•got her name because she slapped someone with a fish and the person was coincidentally allergic to fish, causing them to die when a bit of it got in their mouth.

•hates Duke, but will tolerate him as long as Kiki is somewhat okay with him

•Doesn’t know about the magic, teleporting, timewarping rats, or the hive mind of rats

Duke:

•was (previously) part of a cult and working as a hitman for it with a preference for poison

•Over the eight murder attempts he did on Kiki before becoming an actual friend with him, he tried to poison Kiki four times

•Will probably make him a bartender or the snake poison collector thing if I had to give him a job

•The only one without parental issues

Kiki:

•Once taught something, will learn everything possible about it through trial and error

•A.B.’s name was meant to be artillery barracks, but Fifi nicknamed it Annoying Bastard and it stuck

•the only one from the Menteur family who didn’t marry in who cant fluently speak French (yes their last name is French for liar)

•Is manipulative sometimes without realizing it, but not evil-evil manipulation, he just knows Fifi will dehydrate herself unless Kiki guiltrips her, or will gaslight Fish and Duke into thinking they already fed the rats so they actually finish their food.

Kiki and Fifi refer to each other with they/them pronouns

Duke has a fascination with poisons because he found out how most adults willingly poison themselves for pleasure (alcohol)

Fish uses a gun because it’s classic, can be changed from situation to situation, and doesn’t require close contact with the target

Fifi is slowly dying, and isn’t telling anyone

Kiki has been through 10 explosions, majority in their basement.

Kiki is technically immortal, only able to be killed if it can have an intent to kill him, but doesn’t want to kill him. He can still get injured though (figuring out where to put burn scars still, hence why no drawings have them yet)

I found out how to draw a snake! This is my OC, Kiki, with his “pet snake” A.B.! Kiki built A.B. Out of metal and a lot of trial and error, with Kiki’s workspace being in the second basement of the house. A.B. Is a… robot… ai… thing. Also, A.B. Is blue because he was looking too much like a snake, and I needed a way to signify he wasn’t a real snake.

Fish: *planning to break everyone’s shins* (shes the shortest with a height of 4 feet 8 inches, or 143 cm)

Fifi: STAY AWAY! BACK! BACK!

Duke: *hiding a vial of poison* I’m just trying to walk down the hall!

Fifi: BACK I SAY!

Duke: Fine, fine!

Fish: I know why you were sent here.

Duke: You failed your mission, he’s still alive. I’m just here to finish what you failed.

Fish: He doesn’t need to die!

Duke: Yes he does. If he didn’t, neither of us would be here.

Fish: He’s not even the right kid! Insert-French-guy-name Menteur doesn’t even know he exists! He knows his daughter, but was taken before anything else happens! He’s not Kiki’s dad!

Duke: It doesn’t matter! I don’t care if he knows he exists or not! I will follow the orders I was given, and those orders were to kill him!

Fish: …

Duke: What? Finally going to say I’m better than you because I can follow orders?

Fish: You still believe your doing the right thing.

Duke: Of course I do! That’s because it-

Fish: It’s a cult. A cult I don’t believe in anymore, and I’m not allowing you to follow orders from a cult.

Duke: … it’s not a cult, and you followed those same orders too. Or did you forget why your name is Fish?

No-first-name “Fifi” Menteur: Kiki’s older sister, female, bisexual, goth aesthetic, short purple hair, purple eyes, no ears, protective of those she trusts to a fault, good at fighting and climbing

Kimani “Kiki” Menteur: Fifi’s younger brother, male, homosexual, femboy-ish aesthetic, medium/short pink hair, grey eyes, pierced ears, dumb from not being taught a lot of things instead of just being dumb

Fish No-last-name: (Ex) hitman, target was Kiki until she decided not to be a hitman anymore, female, idk the name of her style but its kinda like practicality over comfort but she also dresses formally, long white hair, red eyes, albino, great aim and prefers killing targets with long range weapons

Duke No-last-name: (Ex) hitman, target was Kiki until he decided not to be a hitman anymore, male, techwear was the reference I used for his style, short brown hair with a red tinge and later dyes a streak fully brown, brown eyes, pierced ears, great at slight of hand and prefers poisoning his targets
