Ramble👇 (long, apologies if you decide to read it lol)

When I make art in terms of video games, I do an unnecessary amount of thinking for making a fan-character work within the world of the supposed game. Game mechanics, story, or just tiny charms that make some sense… too many concepts for such little sketches created.

So:

Here is a NPC you may find in the City of Tears, usually at an enemy-free space around the Soul Sanctum. Interacting with him…he just goes on a ramble, really. Nothing about him stands out…until you use the Dream Nail on him. A past fighter. His blade, a trusty companion. Together, they aim to strike you down. However, the blade is only ever so sturdy… his biggest weakpoints are the pauses he takes to reassemble his blade. Weapon making wasn’t always his strong suit, neither was the pride he tried to keep instead of making the effort to get a properly made weapon. The funny things of one’s pride, until it becomes the reason of their loss.

Thoughts/Rambles under cut:

Shitty custom brush I made, based on Shun-ran by TOOBOE/john art style/brush; you see a better version of the realistic eye idea in 3rd image. Wanted a more faded/handmade mask…I think if the persona was a murderer, the first prototype of the mask would be rough. Story building ideas or sm haha

Started with a hand and sleeve, then it turned into Delirious. Wanted to do more with perspective, but I’m bad at it. Glad that the sweater stayed somewhat flappy/loose, I like small details regarding clothes.

Visible eyes through the mask eyeholes. Kept thinking of the cartoon to realistic face cut. May have seen some flapjack episodes…hush.

Sweater…but different. I swear I’ve seen a hoodie design like that, but who knows (feel free to tell me/send DM). I like making changes to persona clothes/designs, “Let’s make some changes that seem unnecessarily complicated or random!” Well, my name is Rando…

Last doodle, GTA Owl/Vanoss Mask. Was a mask…till it wasn’t. Assumed that (some of) the GTA masks were latex like Halloween masks. Now, it’s a new ice cream product (sold at your local Ron’s!).
