While the relationship's foundation is solid and there is some chemistry, it somehow finds itself in a stagnant phase. I think the cause for this is because it's a major change for the two of you. Maybe the two of you may have previously been friends and trying to transition to lovers may be a bit weird. Or while befriending someone like Megumi is normal for you, dating someone like him is a first. So the relationship will be a bit rocky, especially in the beginning, but eventually, that rockiness will pass.

Hmm... there is a lot of energy and effort being put into this relationship. I think this relationship has the potential to reach a much deeper level where you can expect a much stronger commitment. But I do think you'd have to be very careful before you reach that deeper level, cause the amount of effort that you're putting in could be mistaken for clinginess or smothering. Megumi may feel a bit overwhelmed. But don't worry, I think the two of you would be able to come together and set up some boundaries. There's a lot of communication between the two of you, so neither of you would be afraid to tell the other that what they are doing is too much or crossing the line.

I'm gonna be quite frank, I don't 100% understand what this row means. And quite honestly while the public's word/opinion still may hurt, I think at that point the two of you would have already overcome any doubts in the relationship. Thus the two of you are quite confident the relationship will work out and quite honestly it would be hard to tear you two apart.

Summary: Reid and the new agent on the team do not get along well. Confident and charismatic, Reid despises Y/N for her work habits but can't seem to get enough of her.

Reid intended to spend his well deserved weekend off in stacks of library books, devoid of all thoughts of work and Y/N. He would not even pause to strategize what he could to get her off the team. He didn't want to mess up this girl's job, but she just was unfit for the team and didn't have what it took to be an agent. Many people don't have the guts to fight crime every day and put your life on the line. The BAU was comprised of some of the best people in their fields, so it wasn't truly her fault. Reid chided himself for thinking of her and tried to get back to reading before he got a call from Garcia, "Urgent case, be ready in 30. We're debriefing on the plane. Sorry to ruin the weekend." Garcia stated grimly. Her usual flamboyance was hidden at the disappointment of an interrupted weekend. Everyone on the team loved what they did, but a break is often well deserved from the emotional intensity of such a career path. Reid was already in a bad mood when he entered the BAU. Of course he was on a bad luck streak as Y/N motioned for Reid to stop the elevator so she could go up with him. She was haphazardly dressed in denim jeans and a big wool sweater. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail and remnants of glitter still caressed her soft face. Loose curls framed her face that had escaped from her hair tie. It was 9:45 on a Saturday, so he could guess where she had spent the night. Her light smile turned to a slight look of confusion as he realized that he had been staring at her for too long a time. Reid quickly hit the elevator button and both of them went up in silence. Despite clear evidence she had not showered in the last few hours, the elevator still smelled lightly of vanilla when they left and walked to the conference room. Garcia stood in front of the board lacking her usual full face of makeup.

"Today we are traveling down to Florida! We have a serial killer and rapist on the loose. As of right now we have three bodies, all of which were broken out of various mental hospitals across the state. We have three females in their early 40's to mid 50's. He rapes them pre-mortem and they were found in shallow graves by a hiker. Hiker has an alibi. I'm trying to access the victim's records but I'm encountering some backlash. " Garcia presented as images of women in torn hospital gowns flashed across the screen. Reid watched Y/N wince slightly at the images, not enough to be noticed by anyone but him. Just a slight crinkle in the eye, a tenseness in the shoulders. "So we definitely have someone with mommy issues." Morgan profiled, a slight joking tone to his voice.

"We can talk on the plane. Leaving in 30." Hotch responded, standing up and moving to get ready.

"JJ and Morgan I want you guys interviewing the hiker and talking with police. Spencer and Y/N, I want you to go to the ME and check out the bodies. Rossi and I are going to the dump site." Hotch ordered, his eyes sticking on Spencer for an extra second, almost willing him to object. He didn't because he know Hotch's plan. Enemies on a team this close were not encouraged, so Hotch was making him spend enough time with Y/N until he found something to like about her.

"I know what you are doing." Reid whispered to Hotch as Y/N grabbed coffee for the road to the ME. The glitter on her cheekbones still shined under the harsh police station lighting like tiny diamonds reflecting off her skin.

"Then do it." Hotch responded harshly as he left a shocked Reid to climb in a cruiser with Rossi.

The ride was silent, Reid behind the wheel of a black suburban. Y/N sipped her coffee slowly and glanced out the window. The palm trees reflected in her Y/E/C eyes as they drove.

"You can sit in the car if you want." He stated in a monotone sigh.

"No, my master's in psychology I'm hoping I can get a look and figure out what they were in for." Y/N responded calmly, though her body language showed it was clear she felt the tension in the car. She hopped out and started for the ME as Reid gathered the keys and his badge. Y/N was already talking with the ME, a man around their age with a kind smile and buff physique. She stared up at him and bashed her eyes slowly as he spoke to her about the bodies. Was she flirting with him? Unbelievable. Reid rolled his eyes and interrupted their conversation.

"Ready?" He urged, wanting to get away from Y/N as fast as possible.

"I noticed some abnormal shrinking and enlarged, fluid areas in the cerebral tissue of all the patients. The last patient had the most shrinkage as you can see here," The ME pointed to a pale blonde body.

"Evident of schizophrenia, right?" Y/N interjected before Spencer could. He glared at her quickly, catching her intense gaze at the brain the ME was holding.

"There was shrinkage in each victim?" Reid questioned as he examined the body next to the one the ME was at.

"Yes."

"The unsub could be targeting middle aged schizophrenia patients as a replacement for a mother figure or maybe a romantic interest because of the rape aspect? The son could even have schizophrenia himself if the mother has, since it has strong genetic components." Y/N rambled but Spencer tuned her out as he focused on the brain of the second victim. A small hole incision was between her frontal lobe and amygdala.

"This one had a lobotomy done, most likely by the unsub due to the roughness of the incision."

"That was evident in none of the other victims." The ME stated slowly as he examined the brain Spencer was looking at.

"This is the only brunette," Y/N stated slowly as Reid could almost see cogs turning in her head.

"We better call the team, thank you." Y/N responded kindly to the ME, waving slowly as they headed out.

After an update to the team on what they had learned, the car returned to silence before Reid interjected harshly, "you know, if you could stop flirting with every medical professional we come in contact with that would be swell."

"I was not flirting with him. I was being nice. Plus why do you care I'm a free woman who can do whatever she pleases." Y/N responded firmly, turning to face Reid as he focused on the road. "I'm honestly shocked you would even say that. Just because your 'professional' includes only talking business doesn't mean mine can't include a little bit of kindness."

"You were eye fucking him like the whole time."

"Well you are the one examining my eyes! And sexualizing me!" Y/N huffed as she stared at Reid's white knuckles on the steering wheel.

"I'm trying to get you to be professional, you already stick out enough." Reid responded angrily.

"What is that supposed to mean." Y/N quickly said, and it was evident he had hit a soft spot by the way she slinked back into the chair and waited for a response. Reid turned back to the road as satisfaction mixed with guilt in his stomach. Tears pooled but didn't fall, except a single one that Y/N quickly brushed away. Reid still noticed.

They didn't talk for the rest of the case. Reid had obviously hit a rough spot for Y/N and the whole team felt it. They barely caught the unsub, Y/N being right again about a son with schizophrenia. The feelings of both happiness to avoid her and guilt about hurting Y/N swirled in his stomach as Morgan approached him when they got off the jet.

"Whatever is going inside that genius brain of yours, you need to figure it out. Y/N is apart of the family now and we need to treat her like it. Getting her kicked off has been a bigger distraction than whatever you think she does. You clearly aren't yourself and you're falling behind on your work." He ordered, in true big brother fashion like Morgan always did. Reid just nodded in response as he watched Y/N step off the plane with JJ. She walked past him without a single glance, no bright smile, no cliche comment or gleaming eyes. All that was left was a wind of vanilla.

He closed his book, his ears perking up as he tried his hardest to detect a sound, any sound at all. Spencer instinctively got up and headed straight for his little girl’s room. It was quiet.

Too quiet.

The house hadn’t been completely silent since before your daughter was born. She had always been a noisy little girl. At first, it was sleepless nights filled with the booming cries of your restless newborn. You and Spencer knew that she would grow out of it, a phase that would come to pass. And the two of you were right, but what you weren’t expecting was for the high-pitched whines to be replaced with the running, jumping, and stomping of little toddler feet.

It wasn’t anything the two of you couldn’t handle, considering you both used to catch serial killers for a living, but it was quite bothersome to be deprived of the quiet that you had endlessly before your little monstrous pumpkin was born. Spencer always enjoyed her noisy nature, she was much like you. Aside from her curly hair and hazel eyes, she was a copy of you— stubborn, curious, and strong-willed.

Your daughter was never timid like Spencer was in his youth, she always dove in headfirst— which drove Spencer mad. The careless spontaneity that manifested after meeting you was long gone and substituted with an overly cautious, helicopter-dad. It was warranted, especially since your daughter was known to get herself into trouble that she could rarely get herself out of.

“Liv?” He opened the door to find what looked like a sleeping lump on her bed. He approached slowly, moving to make sure it was her.

It wasn’t.

Panic immediately set in as he opened the closet, looked under the bed, and checked the bathroom. She was absolutely nowhere to be found. Spencer ran down the stairs to see if his little girl was just messing around with him, hiding in a random nook or squeezed into a crevice. He was stopped by a soft summer breeze that came from the back door that was wide open.

His eyes widened. He had seen so many cases of child abductions in his time at the BAU, he just never thought it would happen to him. He ran out into the backyard screaming her name, probably catching the attention of all the neighbors.

He stopped yelling when the sound of a soft whimper reached him. He followed the noise, turning the corner and walking behind a little rose bush towards the side of your backyard. He found her, crouching down and crying into her hands.

He was flooded with relief. “Liv, I was so worried I lost you.” Spencer reached down to pick her up as she cuddled into his touch, crying softly into his shoulder.

“What’s wrong, hm?”

She hiccupped, “I- I’m mouring.”

“I- I don’t know what you mean, sweetheart?”

She huffed, annoyed at her father’s lack of intelligence. She wiggled out of his grip and landed on the ground with her arms crossed. “I’m mouring, Daddy. Just like we did at Grandma’s funeral.”

She was referring to his mother’s funeral, the one she attended when she was two. It was a rough time for Spencer, especially since he lost the one person that connected him to his childhood. It was also a heartbreaking sight for Liv, she was so young. Too young to face the cruelty of losing her grandmother.

“Mourning, sweetheart. The word is mourning.”

“Th- that’s what I said.”

He crouched down so he was at her height. “Who are you mourning, Liv?”

“Tommy. He died five minutes ago.”

A look of horror dawned on his face. “Wh- who. Liv, who’s Tommy. H- how did you know h- he…” Spencer didn’t know how to continue his sentence without sending his daughter spiraling into another fit of sobs.

She used her long sleeves to wipe away the tears that wouldn’t stop falling from her face. “He died right in front of me, Daddy. He was all bloody and s- so scared. I- I love Tommy so much, Daddy.” She ran into Spencer’s arms.

What. The. Actual. Fuck.

She was tucked deep into his chest, bawling her eyes out as stifled cries were muffled by his shirt. “Liv, I need you to tell me what’s going on. Who’s Tommy?”

She sniffled, “Look.” She pointed towards a small, poorly made, black paper box. It was half-buried in the dirt and surrounded by red roses. She picked it up and opened the lid to reveal a bloody tooth.

“He came out earlier with b- blood all over him. H- he died. I had to make a basket for him like the one we put Grandma Diana in. I w- was having a funeral, Daddy.”

He started to chuckle in between words, promptly soliciting a horrified reaction from his mourning daughter. “Sw- sweetheart. Your tooth is an inanimate object, it can’t feel anything. And I believe the word you’re looking for is casket.”

“But Tommy was all bloody.”

“I know, but you’re going to lose all of your teeth eventually.”

She began crying again. “ALL OF THEM ARE GOING TO DIE?”

“They’re not dying, Liv. They need to leave so your new adult teeth can grow in.”

“I don’t want to replace them, Daddy. They’re all so important to me.”

He pulled her into a tight hug. “I know, I know. It’s the way the world works. Buttttt, did you know that when someone loses their baby teeth, they get a visit from the tooth fairy?”

“But I don’t want the tooth fairy, I want Tommy!” Liv’s eyes shut as an ongoing stream of tears fell from her eyes.

Spencer continued to hold his daughter, sitting on the grass of their backyard while she continued to cry into his arms about the inevitable death of the rest of her baby teeth. He looked down at her five minutes afterwards to see her sound asleep with her chest rising and falling evenly. He smiled fondly and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ears.

Making that black box must’ve taken a lot out of her.

Liv eventually woke up with her eyes all swollen from the excess tears she had shed hours ago. She walked into the kitchen in a solemn mood, begging and pleading for ice cream so her grieving pain could be consoled.

All she did was mope around for every second of the whole day. He hated seeing her stuck in such a state in despair, even over something as trivial as losing a tooth. The smallest things meant everything to a young child, he knew that from experience.

His mother would always find ways to cheer him up even when it seemed like he could never get over his feelings. Whether it was board games, playing chess and letting him win while he was still mediocre at best, reading obscure books, or letting him ramble on about the silliest of things, he always felt better after she attempted to make him happy again.

Despite his genius intelligence, he was nowhere near creative— not like you or his own mother. But he didn’t have either of you to rely on, so he had to figure something out by himself.

The two of you were sound asleep when Liv came rushing into your room, screaming and shouting both your names as she jumped onto the bed and tackled you both. “Mommy! Daddy! Wake up!” She continued to use her tiny, yet surprisingly strong, hands to shake you until all your attention was on her.

“Liv?”

“Mommy! Look what was in my room last night!” She lifted up a little basket full of flowers whose stems were connected to a little plastic tube at the bottom filled with water so they could stay fresh. Scattered throughout them were her favorite snacks and candies. In the center was a large toy that you and Spencer had agreed to give her on her birthday.

You looked at Spencer suspiciously while gently caressing your daughter to calm her down. “What’s this, Liv?”

“I woke up last night and I saw the tooth fairy!”

“You did, huh?” Your mind wandered back to when you came home the night before.

Spencer clicked the door closed softly, making sure that the creaking wasn’t loud enough to wake your sleeping child.

“What are you doing?” Spencer turned around immediately by the sound of your voice, startled by your presence.

“When did you get home?”

“Don’t change the subject. What are you doing? Most importantly, what are you wearing?” You looked him up and down, laughing at his outfit— one you’d never thought he’d wear.

“I- It’s complicated.” He used his hand to scratch the back of his neck.

“What’s more complicated than you wearing a tutu and fairy wings?”

The two of you laughed together quietly as he gave you a quick peck on your lips. “I’ll explain tomorrow, let’s just go to bed.” You nodded, thoroughly amused by his clothing choices.

“Mhm. The tooth fairy had wings with sparkles flying around and a pretty tutu and a wand and left the basket for me.”

Spencer chimed in from the back, laughing at the fact that there were absolutely nothing of the sorts. “Sparkles?”

“Yeah, Daddy. It was magical,” she said in complete awe.

“Wow, this toy is great. It looks exactly like the one Daddy and I were going to give you for your birthday.” You gave Spencer a knowing look as he shyly looked away from you.

“I can’t wait to lose all my teeth!”

“Hold on, hold on. I thought you said you wanted Tommy, not the tooth fairy.”

“I’d take the tooth fairy over Tommy or any tooth on any day if I keep getting gifts!”

An ‘oh shit’ look magically appeared on Spencer’s godforsaken face. A death glare was sent his way knowing that your precious girl would expect an overpriced toy every single time a tooth popped off.

“Why don’t you go put the basket in your room and we can open the toy with you later. You need to go brush your teeth and prepare for the next time you see the tooth fairy.” She nodded eagerly, hopping off the bed and running straight to her bathroom.

You turned around to look at Spencer, fully expecting to face your wrath. You were always the disciplinarian since your daughter had Spencer wrapped around her pretty little finger.

“She’s gonna want something like that every time she loses a tooth now.”

“I- I know, Y/N. I just- she was so sad yesterday. I just wanted to make her feel better.”

You leaned over to give him a kiss. “I’m not mad, Spencer. It’s- it’s really sweet and cute that you did that for her.” He smiled into your lips. “But when she starts to act spoiled it’s going to be you who sets her straight.”

“B- but I-”

“No buts.”

“I-” he looked at you, met with stern eyes that refused to budge, “Okay.”

“Good. Now, she has her very own tooth fairy.”

He smiled and pulled you into him, your head resting on his chest. “I guess so.”

They’ve been here for 48 hours and have made no progress in the investigation. Another man has gone missing and if recent events are any indication, he’s going to end up prone and lifeless in a crop circle within another two days.

Shaking the rain out of his hair, he opens the door to the Weeping Water police station. The town’s name is apt, as it’s been pouring buckets since the BAU arrived. Spencer’s soaked to the bone, and it’s not helping his mood – he’s got to return to the geographical profile and try again, but it feels like trying to squeeze water from a stone – and the stone, unlike everything else in this town, is dry.

After 9 months in the making, here I present: Southeast Asians discuss, through many detailed presentations, why Raya and the Last Dragon is a prime example of Disney using “culture” as a marketing tool without making sincere efforts at representation!

This is a project that began last year after Southeast Asian opinions about the movie were drowned out by non-Southeast Asian ones. Most significantly, there was the case of Lindsay Ellis comparing Raya to Avatar: The Last Airbender, which generated a backlash that eventually led to her quitting YouTube (though the presentations here were recorded MONTHS before she made that announcement).

It’s an issue when lukewarm takes like Lindsay’s got all the exposure compared to actual Southeast Asian critiques of the movie, which had much more substantial things to say, so at the urging of Chinese Indonesian writer Audris Candra (who slid into my inbox), I decided to lend my platform to a group of Southeast Asians to thoroughly express their thoughts.

I have gained so much from hosting this project; my mind was BLOWN as I edited the presentations. The final product ended up being longer than the Snyder cut (this is only part 1, you can find part 2 in the video description), but I promise you that every presentation is worth it! You will learn so much! There’s so much good content on Southeast Asian story structure vs Western ones, Southeast Asian dragons, martial arts, weapons, languages, food, fashion - JUST WATCH THE PRESENTATIONS AND HAVE YOUR MIND BLOWN TOO. Yes! Yes! YES!!! this video basically summarizes a lot of the things I dislike about 'Raya and the Last Dragon'. Their mannerism was very white weird, the hypocrisy of the cast, the fact that disney+ wasn't available in most of SEA, the moral of the story and etc. Like, I remember watching this for the first time and being like:

The only thing that I did like was Raya and Boun. Raya because I felt like her character was very refreshing, she had common sense and was not the typical quirky character I thought she was going to be. Interpretation This isn’t a relationship that either Hotch and I.L would let go of so easily, they would hold onto it with an iron grip (Four of Pentacles). Can’t really blame them, they finally found someone worth holding onto. The relationship provides them with this sense of security and stability. They finally have someone to go to when they need comforting, when they need to talk about their problems and when they want someone to hold them. Although this relationship is overall healthy, I do think there can be some possessive behaviours between the two. This sense of possessiveness could stem from a jealousy which also stems from insecurity. There’s this sense of imposter syndrome if you will (Strength rev), maybe one of you would think ‘What’s my s/o doing with me, they're way out of my league’, ‘what do they see in me’ and ‘omg, they're gonna leave me’. One of you or maybe both of you, feel like you may not be a good partner to your s/o, first off I want to say that’s BS, throw that self-doubt out of the window, you two would be cute together. Furthermore, this relationship feels like it follows the heart more than the mind (Queen of Cups). So this relationship may not rely much on rationality but rely more on intuition, that feeling you’d get in your heart. Something makes me think that the two of you would have a strong empathetic connection with each other. Therefore, your mood could definitely affect Hotch’s and vice versa. Elements of compassion, caring, sensitivity and nurture are very much present in this relationship. I really have no idea how to explain this but this relationship feels soft. The two of you are always considerate about each other feelings, only ever using soft tones with each other and cuddles after a long day. Their heart and soul are basically intertwined in one another (Two of Cups). The strong connection that the two of them share makes me think that over time they would be able to read each other's minds. With one glance or shift of tone in voice, I.L would know if something is up with Hotch and vice versa. Furthermore, the feelings that they have for each other will have a profound effect. I.L love could push Hotch to accomplish more than he thought he could. On the other side of the spectrum, if I.L had any negative feelings towards him, it will get to him. This relationship with Hotch would be everything you have ever wanted (Nine of Cups). I thought I should do a little bit more What's a characteristic that I.L has, that attracted Hotch to them
