aughhh thinking about dennis + dee and frank… your father who’s not really your father raised you into becoming the worst people you could be, then he punishes you for being awful to him. “you’re leeches” “i’m not writing you back into the will” because you’re not his children. he doesn’t owe you anything because to him, you’re not his. but he’s yours. he’s your dad no matter how many times you call him frank. he neglected you, and then for brief moments he was in your life, he tormented you. it’s christmas morning and you are six years old and you have empty christmas presents because your dad thought it would be funny to trick you. all he’s ever done is downplay your feelings and hate you, but he expects love and respect in return. you’re so used to his idea of fatherly love that once you meet your biological dad, a kind, sweet and caring man, you hate him. he’s too soft. you try to scam him out of his money, you are just like frank. it’s 2021 and your father who’s not your father tells your best friend “i’m sorry i’m not your real dad”, something he has Never said to you.
