Hello! This blog is a place for me to ramble about my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon universe and keep everything tidy ^^
I’ll post liveblogs, analysis, artwork and edits for all four games (depending on my current hyperfix anyways) here! Despite the url, I’m not currently sure how much of my original pmd story content I’ll post yet. Kinda want this to be a focus on canon game interpretations for now to keep things familiar with y’all.

Teams under the cut:
Team Coffee (Rescue Team):
Coco (she/it): Formerly a born and raised bandit in a city in the human world, she never really felt like an actual person and yearned to be as free and skilled as the wild Pokemon running through the alleys. When it got the opportunity to become a Pokemon, it grabbed it.
She distances herself from her former life by walking on four legs all the time, even though Meowth can alternate between twos and fours. Though it's a sweetheart, it still keeps some habits from it's bandit days and tends to cheat a little when Team Coffee explores... not that it'll ever admit it.
Toffee (it/she/he): Traveled to Pokemon Square to catch up to her traveling father, Charizard of Team ACT. It wants to earn it's father's respect by forming a Rescue Team and reaching Gold Rank alongside him. When he found Coco, he knew it was the perfect opportunity to form a team.
She's hasty and tends to rush into things, desperate to prove herself to the Pokemon around her. It latched on to Coco pretty quickly and the two became fast friends. She cares a lot about helping others and will do anything to do so, even risking her own health.
Team Wispstar (Explorers):
Rin (she/her): Rin woke up on the beach with no memories, only knowing that she used to be human, and now she wasn't. But when she looked at the bubbles waving around her, reflecting the crashing waves and feeling the warmth of the sunset, she forgot to be afraid. You would have thought she insisted on forming Team Wispstar, not Nimbus, with how enthusiastic she was about it compared to him.
She's a relaxed, whimsical vulpix who's just here for a good time. She enjoys her exploration work because it lets her sightsee and take in the world around her. She loves basking in the sun on the beach most of all. She's also very sweet and kind to everyone at the guild and enjoys hanging out with her fellow trainees.
Nimbus (she/he): Nimbus was the last surviving cub from the last remaining Luxray of their old tribe. Luxray hid them both within Limestone Cavern, having stumbled there after a horrific battle. Luxray taught Nimbus to fear the world around her and not trust any pokemon, and to never wander off. Nimbus obeyed, terrified of the outside world, but in her heart, she yearned for adventure. When Nimbus wandered off and found the Relic Fragment, he knew he couldn't stay. But Luxray wouldn't let him leave without a fight. So with a little bit of outside help, Nimbus snuck away to join the guild.
Courtesy of her upbringing, Nimbus is an anxious wreck. She's scared of anything and everything. When she got to Treasure Town, it took her another several months to work up the courage to join the guild, and even then Rin had to practically drag her up. But he loves exploring once he's actually in the dungeons. Rin's done a lot to get Nimbus out of her shell, and Nimbus keeps Rin in check when she's acting careless.
The Hope (GTI):
Dante (he/him): After the events of BW and the disappearance of his daughter Verdi, Dante was shut off from the world, living in shame as an ex Team Plasma grunt. Convinced of the worst, he was content to live as a hermit, until he had a strange dream of a voice pleading for him to save the Pokemon World, followed by a vision of Verdi, now a pokemon, protecting a Munna from a vicious Hydreigon. When he fell out of the sky and realized he was in the body of a tepig, he realized the dream was real and sprung into action to save his daughter.
Dante's temperment is... uneven, to say the least. Some days he's raring to go, forming a plan to locate Verdi, and some days he's too exhausted to leave Paradise. His past as a Team Plasma grunt makes his interactions with the pokemon around him rather awkward and has him rather confused. He also hasn't adjusted to his new body as well- due to his call being intercepted, he was only turned into a tepig at random. As such, he can be rather grumpy and despondent, though he gets better about this over the course of the story.
He cares for Kiran as another kid. He was mad at xem for hiding xyr true identity for a while, but came to understand why xe did so. While he's grouchy, he appreciates Kiran's optimism, and while he initially agreed to help Kiran build paradise to have a base of operations, he genuinely wants to help xem succeed. He grows very protective of Kiran across the course of the story.
Kiran (xe/xem)
Kiran hatched as a normal zorua soon after the world came back to life, but that didn't mean xyr life had a happy beginning. Xyr parents hated each other and didn't care for Kiran in turn. When xyr father finally left, xyr mother didn't want to raise Kiran alone, so she tossed xem in the river. Kiran drowned, but woke up on a shore later, revived as a strange ghostly zorua.
Pokemon didn't trust the zorua line for their illusions, so Kiran was treated with scorn and suspicion wherever xe went. To get by, Kiran became the outlaw everyone wanted xem to be and became a proper illusionist, robbing merchants and travelers. Xe didn't trust anyone and always assumed the worst of those around xem. Xe lived like this for years, with no hope, nose turned up at the idea of having a family.
One day, in the icelands, xe failed a heist, was brutally defeated, and left to die. Bitterly, xe accepted this as xyr natural end... until an equine pokemon stumbled across xem. This pokemon didn't react to them with disdain, but concern. She nursed xem back to health, fed xem, let xem cry to her... Kiran had never known that sort of kindness before. The pokemon couldn't stay, Kiran didn't even learn her name, but she stayed until Kiran was better, and wished xem a happy life.
This rocked Kiran's world, and xe realized xe was sick of living the way xe had. Xe wanted to make other pokemon feel the way that pokemon made xem feel. Xe got the idea to make Paradise and spread comfort and joy to other pokemon by giving them shelter and a community. It was a high order, but xe was determined to make it work. Xe disguised xemself as an oshawott, renamed xemself, and set off to create xyr paradise, finding Dante along the way.
Kiran acts chipper and enthusiastic, always finding a reason to go out and help somebody. Xe loves xyr new family and would do anything to help xem, especially Dante. However, xe's taken to hiding xyr negative emotions, thinking xyr pain will drag paradise down. Xe doesn't want anyone to figure out xe's a zorua, and worries that everyone would leave xem if they found out. Only Dante knows and has been sworn to secrecy.
Verdi (she/her):

The Wanderers (PSMD):
Kit (it/they): Kit was found as a baby in the woods by a woodcarving nuzleaf named Bramble, and was raised by him and its three Uncle Beheeyem in the city. After an incident in their last home where Kit suddenly started to have memories of a past human life, Kit and Bramble moved to Serene Village for some peace and quiet, with the uncles looking out for them.
It's a pretty quiet and shy kid, but it's been getting more adventurous with Nova's friendship and its desire to learn more about its past. They feel kinda bad for putting a "burden" on Bramble and try to help him out with his work whenever they can.
Nova (she/her): Nova was found as an egg wrapped in the harmony scarves by Baghira, the head of Serene Village. He took her in after the loss of his wife and child, but the two butt heads a lot because of his strict attitude and her rebellious spirit. Nova was a very spirited kid who kept her neighbors busy trying to keep her adventures at bay. She was often snapped at for being annoying and rowdy, which she seemed to take in stride, but had really just grown to expect. She wasn't a good student either and often felt like an idiot with dreams too big for her head.
Meeting Kit and forming the Wanderers with them made Nova feel accepted, and her relationship with her dad got better, and she didn't act out against the neighbors anymore. She finally had an outlet that worked for her. Once she joined the expedition society, she even got better at schoolwork because of Mawile and Jirachi's unique teaching styles.
She's prideful and smug, but she's a free spirit who loves her friends very deeply and would do anything for them.
