Reblogging for that reason.
Which RWBY characters should you fight
Ruby Rose: First of all how DARE YOU even consider fighting this precious cinnamon roll what possible beef could you have with her. Second of all prepare to finally understand what it feels like to have a twelve year old break every bone in your body.
Weiss Schnee: I understand. Really I do. How could you not want to fight Weiss Schnee at least a little bit? Everyone does, it’s a fundamental facet of her personality. That doesn’t mean she isn’t going to stomp your face into a freshly polished, solid gold curb. She’s just better than you. Do not fight Weiss Schnee.
Blake Belladonna: what the fuck. What the Fuck. hwat the fukc. do you know who this is. do you know who you’re dealing with right now? Blake Belladonna has killed a man with her goddamn pinky toe. Turn the fuck around and think about your choices you are not ready for this.
Yang Xiao-Long: You should absolutely fight Yang Xiao-Long. I mean there’s no way in hell you’ll win but who doesn’t want to take a solid right cross from her? Fight Yang Xiao-Long you won’t regret it.
Jaune Arc: Please for the love of god fight Jaune Arc. You’ll have to deal with Pyrrha mopping the floor with your organs afterwards but I think we can almost all agree it’d be well worth it. You have exactly zero chance of losing this fight.
Nora Valkyrie: Have fun on the fucking moon you scrub.
Pyrrha Nikos: ??? ??????? ?????????????????????????? Do you… do you actually think this could possibly end well for you? Pyrrha Nikos is a goddess you are so lucky she wouldn’t permanently maim you. Maybe you’ll even get some tips on your form while you’re slipping into your concussion-induced coma, she’s nice like that.
Lie Ren: This man turned a giant monster snake into chunky salsa with his bare hands. This man regularly serves food to Nora Valkyrie. This man has stared down death while making pancakes DO NOT FIGHT LIE REN.
Roman Torchwick: Absolutely fight Roman Torchwick. Wave some money in his face and kick him in the balls while he’s monologuing like the massive nerd he is. Kick some dirt on him while he’s down and take his hat please for all our sakes. Heck steal his lunch money while you’re at it. Play to his ego and you’ll walk away victorious, if maybe not unscathed.
Cinder Fall: Now I know what you’re thinking, “Hey isn’t she the main villain here? Of course I should fight her!” Well prepare to be dead wrong. Cinder Fall is flawless. She will tear you down piece by piece before she breaks your neck with her stilettos. You are going to be very turned on and also bleeding. Fight Cinder Fall only if you’re into that sort of thing.
Glynda Goodwitch: Look at Vale. Note the distinct lack of giant monsters or huge holes to underground death tunnels in the street. Consider for a moment how easily Glynda Goodwitch could throw you into the sun. Stay in your goddamn lane do not fight Glynda Goodwitch.
Professor Ozpin: Please fight Professor Ozpin please for the love of god I need to see it at least once. He’s old and makes cookies just like your grandma, and you can take your grandma in a fight can’t you? Go for it dude I’m rooting for you.
Some important additions:
Cardin Winchester: I mean, if you’re sufficiently skilled at fighting, you are morally obligated to kick Cardin’s ass; it’s your civic duty. He’s a huge douchebag, wipe that dumbass smirk he always wears off of his fucking face. The world will applaud you as you curbstomp him into oblivion. Fight Cardin Winchester.
Russel Thrush: Kick his Sonic-the-Hedgehog-wannabe racist country ass to the fucking moon, holy shit please fight Russel Thrush. He is Cardin’s right hand man and he is just as much of a douchebag, and not as smart. Fucking green shell his ass like in Mario Kart with that stupid looking shoulder guard he wears. Go. FIGHT. WIN
Sky Lark and Dove Bronzewing: Please kick their asses. They haven’t spoken yet, but their first lines should be their shrill cries when you break their legs. Fight Sky and Dove. Fucking do it.
Sun Wukong: I mean, you should kick his ass, but can you kick his ass? You can try, but he will slip out of reach of all your punches and breakdance around you like the asshole that he is. He will laugh at you and leave banana peels for you to slip on in his wake and then probably steal your wallet. You could fight Sun Wukong, but you probably shouldn’t unless you want to be clowned into eternal shame.
Neptune Vasilias: YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY KICK HIS ASS. FIGHT NEPTUNE VASILIAS. Not only is he a major nerd, but he is also uncoordinated and flops around like a noodle when he’s not grounded. Kick his tall ass in the shins. Shove his KPop-lookin ass into a locker. You can do it. Fight Neptune Vasilias.
Velvet Scarlatina: What the fuck is wrong with you? Why would you want to fight Velvet? How dare you???? HOW DARE??? No. She is a beautiful cinnamon bun too good for this world. Too pure. Do not fight Velvet Scarlatina. Plus, do you even know what’s in her box? Some say it’s the chopped remains of her enemies. Do not fight Velvet, you sick fuck.
Coco Adel: I mean, you can’t fight her and win, but you have to admit, you’d be honored to have her kick your ass. Fight Coco Adel. Not to win, but revel in the glory of her designer heels grinding you into the pavement.
Fox Alistair: Just because he’s blind doesn’t mean you should fight him. He will go Daredevil on your ass. He will eviscerate you and no one will be able to identify you afterwards. He’ll do that pufferfish shit to you like he did to that Ursa Major and that’d seriously be a horrible way to go. DO NOT FIGHT FOX ALISTAIR.
Yatsuhashi Daichi: He’s 7 fucking feet tall. He can probably crush ur skull with one hand. Hell, all he’d have to you is step on you and you’d be done. Kaput. Finito. Enough said. Do not fight Yatsuhashi.
“Confessions of a Demisexual”
I have come to realize I identify as a demisexual. After trying to figure out a way to explain to my friends and family, I wanted a visual to help me explain it and what it means to me. I searched the internet and I couldn’t really find a comic that could help visualize my personal feelings on the topic so I decided to put this together.
I had a lot more information I wanted to include, but I didn’t want it to be overwhelming as I felt this was already a pretty informative piece. I feel like if there is more to share, including my personal experiences, or to help clarify misconceptions, etc. I will consider it!

Well structured and illustrated. You did a great job with this comic. Hope it helped explain things to your friends and family.
I’m sure many others will find this useful, as well.

Shipping names
I’ve seen a lot of shipping on my dash and it’s got me curious.
Those who play OC’s: What do you name your ships?
Alternatively, if you don’t one, send me in an ask, maybe a brief description of the OC and I’ll ask the muse to name it.
Oh! @mikadisms we need one!
Ohhh… You and Mikado…
How does ‘Aviator’ sound?
((That’s cute. I was trying to think of something related to falcons and the sea. Aren’t Gyrfalcons a sea going bird of prey? I’ll have to Google. @mikadisms what do you think?))
Gyrfalcons are the largest falcon species and hunt waterfowl and small mammals on the tundra. They have also been observed eating fish. Ospreys, commonly referred to as “seahawks”, predominately eat fish from bodies of water. I like Gyrfalcon more because @mikadisms is a Falcon Faunus, but seahawk might be better because it incorporates the sea and a bird of prey… What do you think @misspyrrha-nikos-isms? Or anyone else for that matter…
Mikado is a peregrine falcon Faunus. The kind that can go nearly 250mph. But Seahawk sound good.
Well, the key thing is that it’s something you both like. ‘Seahawk’ is pretty cool, and straight to the point.
Two other options came to mind…
‘Albatross’- a mythical sea-faring bird that, should you wrong it, will hunt you down to the end of your days.
‘Thunderbird’- Neptune was a god of sea and storm (and horses, strangely). I also think Mikado would love to get his hands on some of the old Tracy Island crew’s vehicles.
Go with whatever both of you like.
No one ships any members of Team DRTT with anyone yet.
Nothing that can’t be changed! If you throw up a brief description, I’d be happy to make a suggestion or two.
What is your most embarrassing moment that has happened because of your semblance?
That’s a rather difficult question to answer Anon. Are we talking internationally, or personally?
I was just thinking with such a powerful semblance and with it affecting such a common material in our everyday lives mastering it must have taken practice and is a testament of your abilities. But imagining accidents happening like this during your training makes you seem more human. ;)
Staying in control can be a… challenge around Ruby and Nora in particular. This… isn’t particularly uncommon. I swear Nora does it on purpose.
But, the single most widely embarrassing time was probably managing to wipe every digital record in Beacon’s library for a week. Because the climate can be very mild, when we did have a hard winter, half the city came down with the flu. Feverish and sneezing isn’t very good for restraint, and I found out the hard way what magnetism does to complex computer systems, and that Professor Goodwitch doesn’t appreciate a unexpected ‘hard reset’
The other one I blame Ruby for entirely…
Celebrating our first mission might have involved a night out, and a lot of vodka. The leader of team RWBY decided then was a the perfect time to recall her ‘she can control poles’ line in front of her older sister. There was some teasing, a bet was made and a pole was found. I’ll… I’ll let you figure out the rest.
T-the Library reset was you Pyrrha? My History Project… 😭
I’m so sorry! I’ll help you fix it!
(Starter) The usually relaxing atmosphere of the Beacon library had all but given way to a cloud of anxiety as finals encroached.
The libraries of Beacon where normally a meditative place, unless team RWBY decided they wanted to play a board game again. The tall windows and it’s position on the third floor made it a beautiful reading room. Normally, come sunset it was stunningly tranquil, the ideal place to close the day with a book. Normally.
As finals rapidly approached, last minute panic gripped most of the student populace. During the day, the library was packed, filled with the scribbles of pens, turning of pages, overheard snatches of songs from headphones and hubbub of teammates quizzing each other or asking for help. This buzz continued long into the evening.
Curfews weren’t normally a thing at Beacon. If one wanted to train Hunters and Huntresses, it helped to have a little faith in them. It helped that it was a well known fact that Glinda Goodwitch liked her beauty sleep, and did not appreciate being woken in the dead of night by what she called ‘foolish horseplay’. The fear of reprimand was enough to make most behave, and those who it didn’t found out just how vindictive a sleep deprived Goodwitch could be.
That was how Pyrrha came to find herself in the library approaching midnight. Nestled by one of the bay windows she read by candle and moonlight. Sleep had eluded her, as a day of quizzing and revision, Nora’s energy and Jaune’s worry, twisted in her mind, so as her team rested, she had grabbed a book from her own collection and made her way here on a quest to find peace.
Turning a page, she frowned slightly as she heard something from deeper in the stacks. She could have sworn it was empty when she came in…
“Come on…” Allison groaned, pacing up and down the shelves, her eyes sweeping the floor. “I left it around here. It’s gotta be here SOMEWHERE. Like anyone would ever steal a…” She trailed off when she heard something else, from elsewhere in the library… A voice…
It was a voice, a concerned one and soft footfalls. Closing the novel, Pyrrha set the book to the side before picking up the candlestick to go investigate.
“Hello?” she called down one of the stacks. Despite the lack of librarian, Pyrrha kept her voice hushed. It seemed wrong to shout in a library. “Are you okay?”
“Hello?” Allison called back, also keeping her voice quiet. “Who’s there?”
Pyrrah smiled as recognition came. She knew that voice.
“I’m coming to find you.” She said back in a half whisper. Knowing who it was was all well and good, but would be of no help if she couldn’t find the person in question. She turned held the candlestick ahead of her. Her hair was loose from it’s customary ponytail fell and to her hips.
After a minute or so’s searching through candle and moonlight, as well as a little back and forth she found Allison standing in the middle of one of libraries many stacks.
“Hello again…”
Allison turned in mild shock… but her nerves were calmed straight away when she saw who it was.
“Pyrrha… It’s you.” Her beaming smile shifted into a curious look. “What are you doing here so late?”
“I’m afraid I couldn’t sleep.“ Her sheepish smile was quickly dismissed in favour of concern, “I didn’t mean to disturb you. You sounded worried… Is it anything I can help with?“
Allison looked down, now quite sheepish herself. “I… I lost my fans, Wax and Wane. Could you help me find them?”
“Of course…“ Pyrrha raised the candlestick, letting the amber light shed further. She completely understood. If she lost Miló and Akoúo̱ she’d be beside herself with worry. Besides, the search provided a welcome distraction from the memory of how soft Allison’s lips had been last time they’d met.
“If you can remember what you where revising today maybe we can start there?“
Allison thought for a moment, her memory temporarily overshadowed by the recollection of how warm Pyrrha’s touch was.
“Well, I was in here earlier this afternoon, boning up for Professor Port’s exam on aquatic Grimm. When I left, my weapons weren’t with me. I think they dropped somewhere around that area.”
She chuckled, the noise echoing in the silent room. “I think we’re in the wrong stack…” With how much time she’d been spending here recently, she was beginning to learn the layout rather well. She gestured towards the bookshelves two across from where they where.
Pyrrha made to lead the way, but looked back over her shoulder. “They have interesting names…” Her weapons names meant something, so might someone else. “Is there a story there?”
Allison continued searching the floor, keeping an eye out for them, yet occasionally glancing ahead at Pyrrha. “Well, the fact is, those fans took me an entire lunar cycle to craft. The moon was waxing when I made the first, and waning as I made the second. I named them accordingly after both were finished.”
“It only took you a month?” Surprise was clear in her voice. Forging a weapon was no small feat, and her own had taken well over a year to get right. “I’m impressed.”
She came to a stop outside the right stack and set the candlestick on a nearby table. With Allison seeming intent on the floor, she took to checking the shelves, encase the fans had been left atop a a pile of books.
“Well, I had been designing them for longer,” Allison explained, still looking, albeit less frantically.
Suddenly, she turned to look at her companion. “Pyrrha, about what happened last time we saw each other… I’m sorry for what I… I wasn’t thinking, about you, or myself, or…” She sighed again. “I’m sorry.”
The redhead slowed down scanning the bookshelves as she considered Allison’s words. It wasn’t that the cuddle was uncomfortable. The exact opposite really…
“You have nothing to apologize for. I anything, I should say sorry.” Pyrrha. Clenched a hand, trying to fight off her nerves. Why was it she could face down a horde of Grimm without pause, or even speak in front of crowds at a moments notice, but the moment it came to something personal and emotional she wanted little more than to hide?
“It was wonderful. Truly… And you did absolutely nothing wrong.” She paused, taking a moment to find her voice. “You should never be afraid to express your emotions. It was just a little sudden. It’s… not a concept I’m used to.”
She returned to the bookshelf, hoping the burn of her cheeks would be lost in the gloom and the moonlight.
Allison at last found one of the fans on the ground…. but somehow, it didn’t seem that important at the moment.
“Shouldn’t be afraid to express, huh? Well, if that’s the case…” She began slowly walking toward Pyrrha.
Pyrrha found her quarry. Tucked neatly behind atop some of the books on the third shelf was something that seemed likely. Grasping the fan, she turned with a wide smile.
“I think I found one…” Words died on her lips as she turned to see that she was the sole focus of Allison’s attention. Everything was suddenly crystal clear. She was intimately aware of each soft footfall, of how the candlelight and moonlight washed the young lady in cold and warm light, and the duality only served to highlight two separate aspects of Allison’s beauty.
Swallowing nervously, Pyrrha tried to find her voice. She tried to find something to say, but her gaze was held and her mind was racing.
“Pyrrha…” Allison whispered, slowly bringing her hand to the redhead’s shoulder. “I meant every word of what I said that day. You mean the world to me. And I aim to prove it.” And with that… Allison softly kissed her.
For a moment the Mistrali was frozen, eyes gone wide. Her eyes fluttered shut reflexively as her heart did likewise. The contact of lips was gentle, even innocent and Pyrrah brought a hand up to Allison’s face, tentatively brushing strands of steely blue hair behind her ear before coming to rest below her ear and on the curve of her neck.
Her thumb gently stroked Allison’s cheek as the kiss broke, allowing their breaths to mingle. Emerald eyes searched the girl’s face, looking for any sign that the contact was unwelcome.
Allison slowly brought up her own hand to gently take Pyrrha’s. It wasn’t unwelcome at all, from the beaming look in her eyes and the light blush on her face.
If anything, she was relieved that Pyrrha looked as comfortable as she was.
“…I found one of my fans. It’s on the floor there, under the desk.”
“That’s wonderful…” She found the softness of Allison’s hand only helped add to the etherealness she was experiencing. Like floating, like flying. It was hard to believe that this stunning, kind girl would look at her like that, with love and acceptance.
Her hand was still tightly clutching the second weapon. Emboldened by the look she found in Allison’s eyes, Pyrrah’s arm wrapped around the girl tightly as she closed the distance between them. This kiss was a less gentle of the first, charged with emotion and sheer joy.
