I look at Emmett and it just hits me every time. He was just a kid. A whole life ahead of him, and they took it like it was nothing. His mom showed the world what hate really did to him, and honestly it still breaks my heart. This was way too soon.
MLK inspires me so much. The way he fought for us, spoke up for us, and never backed down… it’s the kind of strength I wanna have. He really changed everything.
Breonna deserved to keep smiling like this. She was building her life, helping people, minding her business. She should still be here today. It’s so messed up how fast they took her from the world.
Malcolm X was always real. He didn’t care if the truth made people uncomfortable. He taught us to love ourselves and stand up no matter what.
He was literally just a kid. They blamed him because he was Black, not because he did anything. They didn’t even give him a chance. It’s so unfair and honestly terrifying how easily they threw his life away.
People act like the Panthers were scary, but they were just protecting their community when nobody else would. They looked out for people when the world didn’t.
They were so young and so full of life. They should’ve had yers ahead of them, not memories and headlines. It hurts knowing they never got the chance to grow up
