Your eyes lazily followed the wine in your glass as you gently shook it.
So. Damn. Boring.
You glanced up, just for a moment. Your eyes met the warm orange lights that had lit up the dark night. Everyone was outside, as were you, but you sat alone.
You weren’t necessarily a loner or anything, just not in the mood. New years was at 12 and it was barely 11:40. You werent sure if you’d last.,
You slumped in your chair, frowning. Could this end any faster..?
Your head lulled to the side. Your eyes fluttered shut.
After some time, you heard something. Someone had sat next to you, but you couldnt really see because of the dark.
You blinked a few times.
Oh, its just Izuku.
You looked forward once more, deciding to let him initiate the conversation.
He spoke up,
“Are you alright?”
Izuku said, trying to make his voice go over the loud music.
“Peachy. Just a bit tired.”
He raised an eyebrow as you spoke.

You added on, a moment later. He sighed and muttered something that sounded like:

He slightly pouted, and your heart melted. You straightened your back and sat up proplerly. I guess you and him did have something in common!

You hesitated, but rested your cheek on his shoulder. He untensed, laying his head atop of yours. Alongside that, you noticed his hand slowly creeping towards yours. You didnt exactly stop him..
His hand rested on yours, gently massaging your hands. His hands were calloused with his scars, signs of hard work and effort. You admired that.
His strength. His ability to keep going.
You peered up at him, but he was already staring at you with the most loving look in the world. Like you had hung the stars, just for him.
And maybe, just maybe, you would’ve if he had asked.
Your eyes flicked onto the screen. Big orange numbers glowed off of them. It was the countdown.
Just a few more minutes till midnight. You noticed the people begin to gather inside.

You watched. What are they doing?

Rough boots stomped and trudged against the concrete, mud trailing as he walked in through the harsh rain.
He huffed and puffed, his arm covering his eyes from the rain. His hair stuck to his head, as did blood and dirt.
Its not always easy to fight.
He pushed through the door as soon as he unlocked it, and was greeted with the sight of you. You were knocked out. Your hair was messy, your clothes were wrinkled, and you had drool coming from the sides of your mouth.
Home.
He thought to himself. You were his home. His safe space.
He kicked his boots off, the mud sliding the boots across the floor. You’ll probably yell at him later, but he doesnt care right now. He shook the rain off, and stepped towards the couch you rested on.
His light footsteps echoed. The faint sound of whatever movie you had left on had simply become background noise.
Katsuki gently laid next to you, resting your head against his chest. He ran his fingers from your neck all the way up to your cheek.
His hand rested there. He listened to your soothing breathing, feeling his own breathing begin to slow.
He put his head on your shoulder, burying himself into your neck.
He heard you grumble and felt you lightly slap his back and tell him to “go to sleep”. He simply laughed.
His eyes closed as he held you tighter. He prayed this would never end.

He woke up, alone on the couch. He scrambled up. He realized he had left his hero suit on, and he didnt even shower last night. Eugh..
He turned his head to peer into the kitchen as soon as he smelt something being cooked. He gently smiled.
He padded over to the shower. He decided he didnt wanna stink up the house anymore.
The hot water hit his body and he sighed. This was amazing.
After his shower, he got dressed into a baggy orange shirt and sweatpants. He slowly creeped into the kitchen, a sneaky grin on his face.

The most basic trope ever unfortunately - because my oc is the quiet, anxious guy and Soap is the extrovert that adopts him 💔 but! I also have other ocs that are.. “a bit” more different. I have a mute/nonverbal oc that knows ASL, so Soap tries to learn from him so he can communicate with them because Soap thinks he’s cool and all.
I also have FTM oc, that goes into my FTM!141 AU - he’s a bit quiet and reserved but Soap eventually befriends him and they become trans buddies!!
