“Oh crap!” he cursed out loud. He could practically see his father's disappointed scowl, his mother trying to smile in reassurance. He slowed down, now out of breath. The backpack weighed down heavily on his shoulders.
A light bulb went off in his head; he remembered a small shortcut he had used once or twice before. But he had only gone when it was light outside and it had been empty. If he was going to be late either way then he didn’t need to go through the dark street. His father was going to be mad anyway but he wouldn’t be nearly as late.
He was feeling tired. I mean, what could go wrong? He turned into a small alleyway between two buildings and entered into the dark street. The lights were flickering and it was eerily quiet.
He felt the hairs stand up on the back of his neck as though someone was watching him. His eyes scanned around the dark empty street looking for even a little sign of movement.
He continued walking, hearing his footsteps echoing through the street.
The street was covered in a fine layer of dust and all the buildings were covered in graffiti, top to bottom. He looked around, picking up his pace. This was a mistake, a big mistake. The place was not giving good vibes for sure.
Still feeling as though someone was watching him, he turned the corner. The buzzing of the streetlights seemed louder than before, drowning out the sound of his footsteps. He felt the cold breeze flowing through his jet-black hair.
The sound of his footsteps echoed through the street. But soon the sound got louder before splitting off into its own little rhythm. There was someone walking behind him. He kept his cool hoping that the person was just walking home like him. He looked around nervously and began walking faster, but so did the shadow. Was the person following him?
Feeling thoroughly freaked out, he glanced over his shoulder discreetly trying to take a look at the person behind him. It seemed like a boy maybe a couple years older than him, in all black. That definitely wasn’t weird, not at all he thought to himself.
The thudding of the man’s feet against the pavement got louder until he was practically right behind Felix. Trying not to show any fear, Felix continued walking as quickly as possible without giving the person suspicion that he was trying to get away from them. The only thought in his mind was just, keep walking.
Don’t stop.
Suddenly he felt a hand clamp down on his shoulder. Feeling shocked and frightened, he whipped around to face the man in the hoodie. The man’s grip was tight and pinched down on his shoulder in a rather uncomfortable manner.
“What do you want? I don’t have money.” Felix said, trying to keep his voice from trembling. The man pulled down his hood to reveal his face. The ghostly outline of a scar was visible running down his otherwise flawless face. Long black hair flowing down his neck and blowing around in the slight breeze.
“Oh Felix, I don’t want your money,” he said. A shiver ran down Felix’s spine as he froze in fear. He hadn’t told the man his name. He felt the man’s hands move to the straps of his backpack, slowly pulling them off his shoulders, as it fell to the group with a thud.
“What do you want then?” he said, looking around for an escape route.
I am actually a huge engene and I had the strong urge to analyze this m/v. I spent a solid half hour doing this so I hope you like this massive rant (but seriously this is a huge rant)
so... there were 3 main sets
this one which seems to represent heaven
and this is probably represents hell
this seems like a sorta in between area since windows are after symbols of portals
so the music video starts out in heaven, the imagery of Sunoo with angel wings is shown and all the members are wearing white. Which obviously implies that they are angels.
this moment seems to depict Jay literally climbing up the "stairway to heaven", now the lyrics of the song go...
I beg you to save me (Save me)
I'm twisted (Twisted) far away
so this is showing them (enhypen) climbing up to heaven from hell. In the song we also hear mentions of the river lethe from greek mythology. Which is the river that souls would go in to erase their memories of their past life.
After this, we cut to a scene of the heaven set flashing red followed by the scene of Heesung in the middle of the window room. this leads me to the logical conclusion that enhypen are angels that fell from heaven.
after Heesung is banished to the window place we get back into the pre-chorus and this time around the lyrics have changed

meanwhile, we see sunoo and his angel wings this time surrounded by black feathers. this could mean one of two things...
bro is evil or the actual symbolic meaning of black feathers which is that "better things are coming"
So after that we cut to several scenes. We see Niki with his arms tied up to a swing in window place and then Sunoo dragging the angel wings up to heaven again but this time they're covered in black paint (goop? idk man).
Jake also climbs up this "stairway to heaven" and places a darkened heart on the podium thing. Then the music video flashes from heaven to hell again and again, the lyrics going...

so basically, after my EXTREME over analyzation of this music video, i have come to the conclusion that it is an allusion to the things we would do for love.
Starting out in heaven and lowering yourself to hell actually is pretty similar to how people go "to hell and back for love". The blackened heart shows the obsession that they have with that person and how their love for them has essentially corrupted them
