my continuation of @spectertoons 's eaglebunny fanfic but it's a separate post
Back in the main room, the two scientists were talking amongst themselves about what had recently happened in the past few minutes with the two Action Forest fighters...
"Hey, Fox," Dr. Bunny asked, "have you seen Eagleator lately? He's been in that room for a while now."
"I'm pretty sure he'll come out soon," reassured Dr. Fox. "I had Hawkodile check in on him to see if he's okay in there."
"I sure hope so, because I want to talk to him about something..."
It wasn't long until Eagleator made his way to the main room, capturing everyone's attention.
Especially Dr. Bunny's, as her eyes immediately widened when she saw him.
And so, there he was, walking towards her in slow motion, almost like something out of a movie - looking slightly nervous, but covering it up with a look of oozing charisma. Even with his new, clean shirt on, his massive, sculpted pectorals bulged through the fabric like it was nothing.
Hawkodile was watching Eagleator from behind, hoping that the interaction between him and Dr. Bunny would go according to plan.
Eagleator's heart was still banging against his chest like a jackhammer, but he managed to keep his cool and took a deep breath as he approached the awestruck rabbit, clearing his throat as he spoke.
Dr. Bunny smiled warmly, causing the larger man's heart to stumble. "You're back," she said, "Are you alright?"
Eagleator tugged at the collar of his shirt, letting some of the heat out. "Y-yes," he stuttered. "And, uh...how about you?"
"I was a little worried sick about you," Dr. Bunny said, before chuckling. "Get it? Worried sick?"
Eagleator chuckled nervously at the doctor's sense of humor. But it did not do his tachycardia any good. He tried to regain his composure. "Yeah... heh.... uhh, about what happened a few moments ago... I apologize. I needed some time to... well....." It wasn't long before he felt his stomach beneath his chiseled abs begin to tie itself up, and his heartbeat gradually accelerated in speed. Dr. Bunny's broad sense hearing picked up the sound of his heartbeat really well, and just listening to it without medical equipment caused her to blush.
Eagleator started to panic internally, fearing she would make a mockery of him anyway. F-f**k... It's not slowing down... he thought to himself, Please, make it slow down...! Both parties' faces were a deep, saturated red at this point.
(I had to censor it, sorry)
Contrary to his beliefs, Dr. Bunny was understanding. "Hey, it's okay," she said, reassuringly. "There's nothing to be sorry about, actually!"
Hawkodile continued watching, this time standing next to Dr. Fox, commenting on the two's conversation.
"Alright Doc..." Hawk muttered, "only a matter of time 'til he gets crushed by his own feelings."
"Oh Hawkodile, let them have their moment," Dr. Fox quipped. Hawk nodded, before briefly looking up nervously, hoping he doesn't experience the crush symptoms again.
Meanwhile, as Eagleator's face reddened, Dr. Bunny continued, "You just had an accident, and there's nothing wrong with that... although to be honest I thought it was pretty cute."
"CUTE?! Wh-wha-" Eagleator's composure flew right out the window. "Whaddaya mean by that?! Y-you..."
"I actually think you look better without a shirt on," Dr. Bunny said, with zero tone of judgement in her voice. Just hearing that caused Eagleator's heart to skip several beats.
"D-do you really think so...?" he asked, and Dr. Bunny nodded.
Eagleator looked down at his shirt, then at Dr. Bunny, before he pulled the shirt over his head, removing it in front of the doctor's eyes, revealing his muscles. All Dr. Bunny could do now was ogle his sweat-drenched pecs and abs in awe. Eagleator let out a warm chuckle, before he inadvertently tossed the shirt aside - into Hawkodile's face. He then flexed his pecs in sync with his heart pounding away in front of the rabbit, having immediately gotten used to being shirtless.
"I really love when you do that," said Dr. Bunny.
"I love when I do that too," Eagleator replied, "but above everything else... I....." His tachycardia began kicking in even harder, but he had, somehow, some way, already mustered up enough courage and willpower to say those three little words.
"I... love you...amorcito corazón..."
Dr. Bunny's eyes widened. "I... I feel the same way about you... I love you too!" Eagleator felt a sense of relief. Then she asked, "Um, I know this seems sudden, but... uh, may I feel your muscles for a sec? Just wanna make sure you're alright after you fell."
"You may." Eagleator willingly flexed his bicep, expecting Dr. Bunny to caress it, when he suddenly flinched at Dr. Bunny hugging him, resting her head up against his pecs with a smile on her face, for what seemed like hours. Again, there was tons of blushing.
"Hey... uhh..." Eagleator was first to break the silence. "Are you...done yet? Or...?"
"Sorry," replied Dr. Bunny. "I was.... listening to your heartbeat."
Eagleator's face turned red once more, and his heart was just urging to burst through his pecs at any moment. He knew very well that Dr. Bunny had taken an interest in his Godlike physique, but he had never thought in his life that anyone would love the sound of his own heartbeat (which I guess only gave Dr. Bunny another excuse to admire his broad, firm pecs). But for some reason, he gradually got used to it, looking downward and observing the scientist rabbit feel a sense of comfort from pressing her head against his chest, listening to this never-ending, hard-working muscular organ situated beneath his pecs, keeping him alive.
Then, the unthinkable happened.
Dr. Bunny quickly got up and without warning, kissed Eagleator.
Eagleator immediately froze. His face was now as red as a fresh tomato. His chest started to heave as his heart started beating out of control - it was almost just as fast as it usually was whenever he was exercising strenuously - maybe faster - perhaps the fastest he'd ever felt it beat, ever. He felt as if his overworked heart, now thrashing against his pecs at an otherworldly speed, would finally give in and explode at any moment.
Dr. Bunny finally let go of the kiss, staring at a now frozen, blushing Eagleator with a giggle. "I just wanted to see if I could make your heart beat any faster, haha!"
