Rereading project Hail Mary is like. I know who you are Ryland Grace. I know you’ll consider yourself a coward a couple hundred pages from now. I know you’re scared Ryland. I know you’ll do it anyway. I know you’ll be brave, because you don’t know that you aren’t supposed to be that yet. I know you’re scared Ryland. I know you’ll succeed anyway. So basically you’re stratt. Except you know from the beginning what’s going to happen to him. You don’t even have the luxury of believing it’ll be someone else, even for a little while.

Okay I was gonna try to finish that 12 page fic I have (6k words?) tonight but I think I’m going to go see project Hail Mary tonight so maybe later this week. Its got a tentative name rn which is Boyfriend than him (based off the dove cameron song) and its sfw rn but I’ve got a nsfw ending in the works right now. Do we think I should add it to the main fic or post it as a sequel (to keep the main fic sfw) Lmk!!

since im thinking abt project hail mary i am also thinking abt the martian and i would love to see ryland grace and mark watney switch roles

grace on mars. he's nasa's specialist guy. takes all of their suggestions and pieces of advice. checks the water reclaimer every hour just bc they asked him to. instead of saying fuck every ten minutes the worst curse he says is shit, and immediately apologizes despite being alone. everytime he gets bad news from nasa he just sends back 'thanks for trying :)'. probably okay with all the disco music
