Shiyana, the Daybreaker.
A Kirin that was once venerated by the people of Mathal (the Celestial realm) and protected a sacred artifact. Now, she is a fallen Celestial entity, one that seeks to rid the world of what she sees as “impure”. If you are with her, you are expected to follow that same creed, devote your life to her cause. In the distant past, she was able to march upon the capitol city after steamrolling through the lower ranks of the Celestial army with her own followers and power. She was only stopped by the return of a once living Avariel she killed, now named Vitalis, and sealed off from the Realm. Shiyana seeks vengeance upon the Guardian, and is one of the Dark Powers that pulls cosmic strings behind the scenes. She despises that Mare in the Moon, finding her impure and disgraceful entity.

Blind Guardians
Fairy Tales are a necessity because they dare speak the truths that the world never wants to hear;
That adults are cruel to children.
That you will suffer injustice, but that doesn't give you the right to be unjust to others.
That there are negative consequences to indulging vices.
That upholding moral principles is always the better path, even in the face of hardship.
That you will die someday.
And that inspite of all the bad in the world, it is worth persevering and finding the love and joy that is out there.

I was supposed to roll for Cartographer’s but I accidentally rolled Calligrapher’s first.
My response was “I drew a dick on the map which helped me pinpoint the location.”

As an artist, do you ever get pain in your hands? If so, do you have any tips on managing it?
For 37 years it’s been up there on the flat roof of Mark Gubin’s building in the flight path of Mitchell International Airport. A sign painted in letters 6 feet tall tells people arriving here by air: “WELCOME TO CLEVELAND.”
“There’s not a real purpose for having this here except madness, which I tend to be pretty good at,” Gubin said
Above that the roof, he was having lunch one day in 1978 with a woman who worked as his assistant. Taking note of all the low-flying planes, she said it would be nice to make a sign welcoming everyone to Milwaukee. “You know what would even be better?” Gubin said.
The next thing you know, he’s out there on the black roof with a roller and white paint creating the sign that would bring more notoriety than anything else in his long career. A story about his confusing message ran in thousands of newspapers and magazines, on national TV news, “The Tonight Show,” Paul Harvey, all over.

Ye ever wanty just wrap yersel aroun an Electrode nice and cosy and then just fucking tel it tae seldestruct and blow yersel up tae fuck
I didn't get the whole thing but I think you were talking about ancestors and boy I got a story. So I've had a great-great uncle on my dad's side of the family and at family gatherings he'd always bring his "roommate" Franz. But the guy was like 90 and had been living in a retirement home as long as I could remember so as a kid I always just thought you had roommates there, you know? (1/?)
So he died when I was like nine, and Franz died a few months later. We weren’t close, I was a kid, never really thought of him again. Fast forward about ten years later, I come out to my grandma as gay, and she goes “My brother Gusti was gay, you know?” And I’m like OF COURSE!! IT MAKES SENSE!! But the interesting part isn’t that he was gay. The interesting part is how this badass motherfucker got himself a boyfriend. (2/?)
So the year is 1933 and the Nazis just started hunting down gay people. Dear uncle Gusti is 18, a flaming homosexual, and has a pen pal in Hamburg he found through an illegal gay magazine. His name’s Friedrich, he’s about the same age, and actively gay. A very dangerous thing to be in Hitler’s Germany, obviously. So when Friedrich writes what he knows will be his last letter, explaining how he is about to be found out, uncle Gusti makes his decision. (4/?)
He gets up the same night the letter arrives, takes the family car and crosses the border illegally, DRIVING THROUGH WHOLE FUCKING NAZI GERMANY to pick up his man. He brings him back to his family… And they’re chill with it!!! They fake him a swiss passport, introduce him as a german cousin who didn’t like the political climate there, and let him move in with them. He takes the name Franz for safety reason. (5/?)
Him and Gusti start dating shortly after, and their relationship becomes a family secret. They opened a b&b together in 1946 and eventually it was given over to my grandma. I’ve never been prouder of my family (6/6)
Thank you for sharing this. This is beautiful.
