My nail tech told me she had dreams of being an actress when she was younger. She says she wish she could do it now. I said "so be an actress." She said "I can't." Then goes on to give me a list of reasons why she couldn't. None of them had anything to do with ability. Just personal fears and insecurities. I make cakes as a hobby, and she says "I wish I could decorate cakes like that." I told her to try, that I would teach her. She said "No, I'll make a mess." 😏 But, here she is with hands steady as a surgeon's, painting beautiful pictures on acrylic. Why do we do this to ourselves? A month ago I decided to get back into my normal gym routine...at least 3 days a week. I'm so glad I did. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. I feel so much better. I no longer feel tired and sluggish during the day, I'm not out of breath walking up a flight of stairs, and I have more energy. Everything else associated will fall into place, but the motivation to get up and get going is back. The summer was a BLUR! 🌞 It's freakin' September already... Shaved ice is officially history till next Summer. I guess that's what happens when you work like crazy alll summer. I had a thought this weekend...💡 Of doing something I always wanted to do. Something cool. I started getting so excited about the dreamy outcome, I immediately shut the idea down. Too hard.
