Today is the last day to bid on @fandomtrumpshate offers!
Bidding closes at 8 PM Eastern, Saturday March 9th.
There are 25 TW offers this year. You can find all of the offers here on the FTH 2024 Offers Dreamwidth blog.
Still have questions about FTH? Here are the FAQs and the organizations supported for 2024. Bidding policies can be found here.
Don't forget to get your bid in before time runs out!
Signups are closed. Again. And thank you!
Four hours ago we re-opened signups, wondering if we might find 19 more creators to bring our total number of offers up to an even 1k. We asked you to reblog far and wide, see if we could get in front of new eyes. You guys came through in spades.
We asked for 19. You gave us 100, for a grand total of 1081 auctions, including 15 in brand new write-in fandoms, so maybe that flurry of reblogging worked in reaching new audiences.
Thank you. Seriously.
And now, sit tight while we run scripts and generate forms and posts. You'll get an email shortly with links to view your offer and a form for submitting edits.
So, we had a thought ...
We think everyone who has seen our posts and wants to sign up has done so ... but we wonder if we can get enough new eyeballs to find 19 more creators (or more) in the next 4 hours because although we've already set records with signups this year, we're very curious to see what a Fandom Trumps Hate auction with 1000 offers looks like.
With that possibility in mind, we've decided to re-open the signup form through 4:30 PM Pacific. Signal boost like crazy and see if we can reach new corners of fandom before time runs out on this bonus window. Whether we reach 1k signups or not, the form will be closing again at 4:30 PM Pacific.
Signups are OPEN. Briefly!
Fandom Trumps Hate is a fanworks auction raising money for progressive nonprofit organizations. You can learn more about us here.
Listed fandom rankings ...
We've just hours to go before signups close for the 2024 FTH auction. In the history of FTH we've only had one fandom ever break 100 signups in a single auction — MCU had 100+ signups in 2020. Right this minute, however, we're only 3 signups away from having a second fandom crack that number. K-pop is RIGHT ON THE EDGE. Will you help it make it across that line? Or sign up for another fandom and bump them up the list? There's still time. Do the thing!
At the top of our listed fandom leaderboard, we have the top ten:
97 K-Pop * 83 Good Omens 55 Sherlock Holmes * 47 Harry Potter * 46 Marvel * 39 Mo Dao Zu Shi / The Untamed 37 DC * 35 Avatar The Last Airbender 30 Star Wars * 29 Scum Villain's Self-Saving System
And falling out of the top ten (by just one signup) -
28 Red, White, & Royal Blue
Beyond that, we have several ties for various places -

2024 Supported Org: Razom
Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022 triggered a massive humanitarian crisis. In the yearly two years since that initial military assault, more than ten million Ukrainians have been displaced: nearly 6.5 million are living as refugees throughout Europe, while almost 4 million remain within their country's borders but are displaced from their homes due to ongoing violence and the destruction of basic infrastructure.
Although the war was initially met with a near-global outpouring of support for Ukraine, other more recent crises have captured the attention of activists and humanitarians around the world, and the support and resources that Ukraine so desperately needs have been drying up.
Razom provides critical humanitarian war relief and recovery to address the most urgent needs as they evolve via an end-to-end procurement and delivery system that places all aid directly into the hands of the people in Ukraine. They also help local Ukrainian volunteer organizations provide immediate humanitarian assistance to the people affected by the war, working with trusted organizations that understand the local needs firsthand and have a proven track record of humanitarian service. They advocate for Ukraine by educating about policies that strengthen and support Ukraine. They have built trusted connections with civic leaders, activists, and elected officials in Ukraine and the US to relay critical information to the public, media, businesses, and government officials.
Razom means “together” in Ukrainian, the name serving as a constant reminder of the community that it takes to create, build and do, to stay the path towards a more prosperous and democratic Ukraine.
You can support Razom as a creator in the 2024 FTH auction (or as a bidder, when the time comes to donate for the auctions you’ve won.)
2024 Supported Org Umbrella: Environmental Orgs
Climate crisis is here, and it's urgent. Rising global temperatures and shrinking wildlands have caused a cascade of disasters for humans and non-humans alike. But although some of the effects of climate change are beyond the point of reversal, many can still be rolled back or avoided entirely -- if we all work together. Thousands of hands-on environmental groups are working to preserve, restore and protect their own small corner of the planet -- and together, they are mitigating and even healing some of the damage.
While important work is being done by large-scale environmental organizations such as the NRDC and the Nature Conservancy, much of the most vital work in environmental preservation and renewal is taking place at the local level. Smaller organizations, working on a particular habitat or ecosystem (or even a particular element of an ecosystem) can pay attention to local conditions, and work with local communities, in a manner that larger organizations rarely achieve.
You can support small, local environmental organizations as a creator in the 2024 FTH auction (or as a bidder, when the time comes to donate for the auctions you’ve won.) You can do this either by selecting one (or more) of the wonderful organizations on our list or by choosing one local to you.
Which nonprofit(s) will you support in this year's auction?
Every year, we put together a focused list of small, progressive nonprofits that are making the world a better place on a very small budget. When you participate in the auction, you have a chance to help those amazing organizations out while also enriching your fandom!
This year’s list of supported organizations is permalinked at the top of our tumblr, but we have also made more in-depth introductions to each of them. This post contains links to all of those introductory posts, so you can find them easily.
We’re posting this now to help creators figure out which organizations they want to support with their fanworks. We’ll also be sure to reblog this post a few times during bidding and just after it closes, so bidders can start to think about which organizations they want to donate to.

2024 Supported Org: Bellingcat
Over the past two decades, the American public's faith in mainstream news organizations has dropped precipitously -- in a Gallup survey last year, more than half of respondents indicated that they believe news organizations actively mislead the public. The major organs of mainstream media have made many choices that have cost them the public's trust, often relying on the "both sides" model of reporting at the expense of a full and truthful picture and treating politics as a horse race.
But these organizations are also under significant pressure as they struggle to adapt to the radical technological shifts in our media environment. These shifts have cut into traditional revenue streams, driving news organizations toward the sort of reporting that will generate revenue. They have also created both the possibility of and the need for new approaches to reporting, and many legacy news outlets have struggled to adapt.
Bellingcat is an independent investigative collective of researchers, investigators and citizen journalists that uses cutting-edge technology to engage in fact-checking and open-source intelligence investigation outside the apparatus of major journalistic publications. In addition to doing their own reporting, Bellingcat designs and shares verifiable methods of ethical digital investigation. By publishing walkthroughs to open source research methods and holding tailored training sessions on their use for journalists, human rights activists, and members of the public, they’re broadening the scope and application of open source research. Their research is regularly referenced by international media and has been cited by several courts and investigative missions.
Operating in a unique field where advanced technology, forensic research, journalism, transparency and accountability come together, Bellingcat believes in the need for collaboration and has partnered with news organisations across the globe. Likewise, Bellingcat’s Global Authentication Project (GAP) seeks to harness the power of the open source community by nurturing and encouraging a network of volunteer investigators. Their Justice & Accountability unit, meanwhile, seeks to demonstrate the viability of online open source information in judicial processes.
You can support Bellingcat as a creator in the 2024 FTH auction (or as a bidder, when the time comes to donate for the auctions you’ve won.)

2024 Supported Org: Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center (CREEC)
Nearly all of America's systems -- from education to healthcare to public transit -- are more difficult to navigate for persons with disabilities. Although the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990 established a new standard of protection and support for disabled people in many spheres of public and civic life, the harsh reality is that most of these systems fall far short of what the law requires of them in terms of accommodating and supporting disabled people. The existing problems have been compounded by the United States' widespread return to pre-COVID protocols and practices, leaving anyone who is unusually vulnerable to COVID or its aftereffects with fewer pathways through public life.
The Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center (CREEC) is a nonprofit legal organization that fights for liberation and equity through the lens of intersectional disability justice. Their work is informed by grassroots movements for systemic change and centers the concerns and goals of people with disabilities who are confronting barriers to accessing programs and services and resisting oppressive legal systems in the United States.
CREEC's legal expertise in the disability-rights frameworks of the ADA and the Rehabilitation Act allows them to move the dial for intersectional disability justice across a variety of systems that deny the humanity, dignity, and agency of disabled people. They further their aims through a combination of public education, coalition and policy work, systemic-change litigation, direct legal services, and technical assistance to movement leaders and community-based partners, strengthening social movements and upholding human rights.
CREEC focuses on supporting and defending disabled people who are experiencing discrimination and exclusion at the intersection of other systems of harm. Their work encompasses improving access to public services and spaces, disaster and environmental justice, immigration, and incarceration and policing.
You can support CREEC as a creator in the 2024 FTH auction (or as a bidder, when the time comes to donate for the auctions you’ve won.)
