Cai Guo Qiang On display at Queensland Art Gallery, Cai Guoi-Qiang’s ‘Falling Back to Earth’ is a four part installation-based exhibition. The main feature of the exhibition consists of 99 replicas of animals from around the world gathered around a crystal clear blue lake.
The exhibition consists of hundreds of wonderfully life-like animals in natural and unrealistic situations, composed to create immersive installation spaces for the viewer.
The installations in the exhibition are stunning, thought-provoking pieces that leave the viewer contemplating the essence of human relationships with the earth and the nature that we are unwittingly surrounded by. 7sobm : facebook | tumblr
Hi humans.
Firstly I would just like to thank all of you who gave my lady human advice of bladder stones.
Today the ‘vet human’ had a big panic. He thought that my bladder was full and that I wasn’t passing any pee (honestly I could have told him he was wrong, I can pee… I just peed on the key...
Is he really sick? I've really enjoyed reading these posts. I hope he is going to be ok
A LAZY GIRLS 15 MINUTE FACE! I won't show any products here, it's all about technique and how to get out of the house with as little effort as possible. You can use whatever products from whatever brands you have available to you! It really is for everyone. I'm a lazy cow, I really am. When your getting up early for work or university or whatever else you just wanna roll out of bed, grunt and go, so this is what I do. I find that I feel most confident when I've got a good cover of makeup on which I think most girls will understand but this doesn't have to mean 30mins in front of a mirror. I did this in 15 minutes with a hand mirror while still snug in bed. For the skin, I use a concealer around my eyes first. Use a good amount to even out uneven skin tone and dark circles then use a makeup brush or blender to smooth foundation all over your skin. I use a mousse foundation because I find it requires little blending and is super quick and easy! Next dust a layer of powder over the foundation to set the face. To make yourself look more alive you need some blush! I find a candy floss pink colour works for me but it may be different for you. Use a blusher brush to buff this into your cheeks in which ever way suits you best. Eyebrows are so important as they frame your face and make you looks so much more pulled together and like you made an effort even though you didn't at all! I brush mine through with a spooly brush then use an eyebrow pencil to lightly shade in my brows, do this quickly then use the spooly again to blend and shape the colour into a natural looking state. Coat the brows with a clear eyebrow gel to keep them in place. Eyeshadow can seem like hard work and a pain but it doesn't have to be. I personally love a smoky eye for everyday and I do this by using my finger to apply a layer of cream base all over my lids up to the brow bone the again using my fingers I apply a nude coloured shadow all over the lid. Next I use my fingers again to blend on medium brown shadow into the socket. I dab the colour into the outer corner then just use my finger to rub it in until it looks well blended and subtly smoky. It really is easy once you get the hang of it. I use a chalky shadow as I find this works best in a rush. To finish off add lashings of your favourite mascara to your top and bottom lashes. This really makes all the different so do a few layers until your lashes look full and gorgeous. Add a bit of tinted lip balm and your ready to do your hair. I've found the best way to have great hair with minimal effort is to plait your hair in pigtails the night before. I do this when my hair is wet, dry works too but will give a less dramatic wave. Just before you leave your house undo the braids and evenly spray your hair all over with hairspray, I use a light hold one because I hate the crunch you can get but any will do the trick. This takes seconds! And you are left with gorgeous waves that will look great all day! That's everything! Once you've done this routine a few times you will completely get the hang of it and do it faster everytime. It's so simple and really works for me. Let me know hoe you get on! Thanks for reading!
KIMONO LUST I never thought Kimonos were for me. I don't really ever go with what's in style and everyone and there mums are wearing these! You can't go anywhere without seeing a million of the things. But I always have the issue of wanting to cover up my fat bits without having to wear a jacket indoors and sweating to death or having to wear a cardigan. Me and cardigans are just not friends. I look like an old lady, they make me look fat and after one wash they are covered in bobbles! I went shopping with my little sister and she desperately wanted one so we shopped and shopped until she found the perfect one and too my surprise I thought she looked really cute and decided I must have a fat hiding kimono. I'm not a patterns fan so I decided a simple flowing black one would be perfect for me and get the most wear. You would think this would be easy to find but it's really not. Everything had tassels and patterns! I was about to give up when I came across this black beauty in New Look. Now, I was upset to see the only sizes they had and sell are 8, 10 and 12 but actually upon trying it on I found that the sizes are insanely wrong. I'm usually the size 14-16 because of the boobies but I ended up buying a 10! So definitely think about this when buying. They are also only £12.99 and come in an array or gorgeous colours to suit everyone's taste. I'm tempted to get a few more colours myself! The green is a lovely olive green which would look amazing paired with a black mini dress for an evening out and the other three colours would be gorgeous with beach wear as a cover up or with some classic denim jeans. They are all extremely versatile colours and I feel they would suit people of all shapes and sizes with all different tastes. Go and get one! ....or three. Thanks for reading!
NEW ADDITION!!!
If you are familiar with my blog you will be familiar with my love of guinea pigs and the three gorgeous girls i already have! Having recently moved house and acquiring a garden, i have bought the girls a lovely huge hutch which i felt was the perfect size to add another little sister for them!
Originally i had wanted to adopt because i love the idea of giving a sad lonely piggy a new home and smothering them with love but after a lot of research i found that a baby would be the best to pair with my three as they are already two years old and otherwise there would be too much rivalry.
Luckily for me i have a lovely boyfriend who was more than happy to take me to the local pet store and help me select a lively little one to take home. Now, I wanted a ginger. I had my heart set on it actually but i stood for a wile watching them all through the glass trying to choose a personality my girls would get along with and this is the one i chose.
She was the only pig who didnt run from my prying eyes and the only one who didnt seem scared at all. She's not what i originally wanted but i fell in love with her! She has the most perfect face and really big feet!
After much deliberating and not agreeing on names, we discussed Twiglet, Willa, Nori, Nora and even Gamora! But finally we decided the name should be space themed to match Moon-Pig, so she would have a little friend to bond with just as Ramona and Kansas are chalk and cheese best friends.
I will update you when we have gotten to know the cutie more and her own little personality has blossomed!
Welcoming, Nova!

WHATS IN MY MAKEUP BAG!!! If you are a girl on a budget like me this will hopefully be helpful to you. Since I'm so very poor I have to take my time sifting through a lot of crap till I find a great bargain buy and if I'm going to buy something a little more expensive I have to really think about. I feel like my makeup bag has something for every occasion and I'm currently really pleased with it so I hope it can be of help to some others! The basic of every makeup bag is obviously the bag! Mine is a gorgeous set of three Soap and Glory bags which all fit inside each other. This is perfect because I cant stand dirty makeup and hate when the labels wear off! This way everything is kept pristine. In the smallest pouch I keep tools, all these were very inexpensive. Just the essentials, nail clippers for perfect paws, tweezers for the brows, sharpener for eyebrow pencils and of course a mirror. In the middle sized pouch I keep the palettes. The last thing you need is a broken palette mirror and shattered eyeshadows but this little pouch is padded and amazing! The palettes are Urban Decays Naked Basics (which I have reviewed not long ago if your interested!) and Primarks PS Love Day Palette which is a collection of day time colours and is surprisingly really good for the price! (Also reviewed not long ago). These palettes together I feel are plenty for daytime and not bad for evening wear but I'm thinking of getting another palette of night time colours also. Now for the main section of the bag, this is where I keep everything else. The lip products I currently have are Soap and Glory's Marvellips in a dusty pink (this is the only available colour) this is great daytime bold lip colour, not too dark but still substantial. Maybelline Baby Lips which is a tinted lip balm and Avon Colour Trend lipstick pencil in shade pink, looks lovely in the day but also a great bold sexy colour for the evening. For the eyes I have Soap and Glory's Supercat felt eyeliner in black, this is an amazing product! I honestly have had this for years and it is still going! I probably should throw it away but it works and I love it too much! Glides on perfectly and lasts all day. The mascara is Primarks PS Love and the eyebrow pencil is also PS Love. I honestly didn't expect much of the Primark makeup but I really do love these two products, they are a complete bargain! The mascara makes my lashes so long and thick without any clumps at all and the eyebrow pencil is very smooth and waxy just how I like it. The skin products I use change but currently I'm finding these work really well. The foundation is NYC Moose, Avon Colour Trend Concealer, Collection Pressed Powder and MUA Brusher. I won't go into too much details because they are pretty basic and as I said they do change. I have reviewed all these items in the past if you would like to look back on that to find out more. All of these items are super cheap and I have found really good, very worth a try especially the MUA blushes. I then have some random items such as the Fearne Cotton 'Fearne' eyeshadow pigment in a shimmery gold. It's helpful when I'm craving a little sparkle. I have NYX eyeshadow base for use with all my eyeshadows to ensure they last all day and give the best colour payoff possible and I have a Candys nailpolish in purple glitter. The hair brush is from Primark and have super cute daisies! Lastly for makeup brushes I have a mixture of Eco Tools and Real Techniques which I keep in this Real Techniques case and then put that inside the clear makeup bag. I am very impressed with both of these brands and they are surprisingly rather affordable when you consider they will last maybe forever! Wow! Such a long post! But I hope it's been enjoyable! All these items van be purchased from Boots, Superdrug or House of Frasier. Thanks so much for reading my rambling!
URBAN DECAY NAKED BASICS REVIEW! I'm a student and I have a home to pay for, a car, pets, money isn't something I have much spare of so I don't usually buy much expensive makeup but I've been lusting after the Naked range for a while. After much thought I decided to spend some of my birthday money on the Naked Basics palette, I chose this particular one over any of the full size palettes because it fits perfectly into a makeup bag and I've always been more of a matte eyeshadow girl. I went to House of Frasier and had a good chat with a very lovely sales assistant at the Urban Decay desk, she was very knowledgable and completely convinced me this palette was the right chose. I wanted something I could use everyday, get a lot of different looks from and that would last the whole day. I made my purchases and took it home feeling very happy. Now, the packaging is really lovely, hard wearing and expensive looking. The eyeshadow pans are a great size and it has a huge mirror which is always a bonus and it doesn't have an included brush which I actually prefer because I honestly have never used an included brush, they always suck. So far so good. The colours are beautiful and it seemed as though I'd get use out of all the colours but this is where the good stuff stops for me. Don't get me wrong I don't hate it but I just feel like it's not worth the money and since I waited so long for it, it let me down. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. Firstly, I'm really not a fan of the 'Venus' shade, it doesnt suit my skin tone at all but I'm sure it would be great for other people. 'Foxy' and 'WOS' are very similar and the black colour 'Crave' doesn't get much use. I do love 'Faint' as a crease colour and 'Naked 2' as an all over base colour. The colours arnt such a problem though, the problem is that they don't last! They do not last the whole day at all, they all fade and end up looking completely different. Yesterday for instance I wore a simple smokey eye for a 5hour shift at work and by the time I got home it was pretty much gone. Not impressed since much cheaper makeup has lasted me much longer. Overall, I don't know. I can't say I'd recommend it but at the same time it isn't awful. The shadows do go on nicely and they do fit in my makeup bag and the packaging is lovely. Maybe it would be better for someone else but I'm not convinced. Thanks for reading!
NYX EYE SHADOW BASE REVIEW I've never used a NYX product before but all the bloggers rave about them and they are a great price so I thought it was time I tried it! And having just purchased the Naked Basics palette from Urban Decay i thought it would be a great companion. Now, the product has sold to me are a primer which would help enhance natural coloured eyeshadows which sounded perfect, exactly what I needed. Sadly it's not. Firstly at £6 it was rather cheap but even still I find that the packaging looked like it cost maybe £2. It is basic plastic packaging which really has nothing special about it at all, I looked past this however because it contains a good amount of product and looked like it would do the job. Great texture, smell, feel. But on using it I found it doesn't enhance colour, it changed it. Every eyeshadow I use it with ends up transformed into a dark brown colour. If was going for a dark brown it would be great but when trying to do a smokey eye it just ends up all the same colour! It's pointless! I also don't really feel it gives the shadow any more longevity either. I'm not really impressed, I'd say the only thing I really love about it is that it doesn't crease at all. There's is nothing worse than eyeshadow creases and this always happens when I wear anything cream based but this product doesn't do that. One highlight I suppose. I don't like it. I'll keel using it until I can find a better primer/base so if you can recommend one at a reasonable price I would appreciate it! I want to get the Urban Decay Primer Potion but I'm not made of money sadly. Thanks for reading! Naked Basics, Real Techniques Brushes and EcoTools Brush reviews coming soon!

Its taken some time to filter through all the awful pictures with us pulling accidental funny faces, closed eyes and the sun ruining the photo but here are few nicer photos from Liams Graduation!
He looked to cute and it was such a nice day it almost makes me want to attend my graduation next year! But i think i will probably frame my certificate and go for a nice meal instead, too scary for my liking!
"DELICATE HEART" PANDORA RING REVIEW
This will be a short review because there’s not much that can be said about a ring! I love Pandora, the jewellery is great quality, super sparkly and so pretty. I already have a Pandora bracelet which I wear almost daily so a ring was next on my list!
All the rings are designed with the intention of stacking more than one ring together which is very much what I intend to do. To start off my collection my boyfriend took me to the Pandora store to get me a ring for my birthday, after much thought and a lot of trying on we decided this “Delicate Heart” ring was perfect. The gem is so sparkly and the ring is such great quality, it is definitely something that will last me years and I will be able to wear all the time!
Overall I am so pleased with it! It’s was an amazing birthday present! As this is a review I must discuss one issue I have had with the ring. The sizes. Now I don’t have fat fingers but my bones are clearly inhumanly large. Ring shopping made me feel like I had hoofs for hands and my fingers were enormous sausages. They do not make a size any bigger than a 60 which frankly is a piss take. We bought the 60 because I loved it but it is a struggle. It will go on my finger but it just feels a little uncomfortable and it’s just not fair that they can’t be bothered to make larger sizes! Why not?! There are plenty of women much larger than me who deserve a lovely ring as much as a thin girl and Pandora should be catering for everyone. But that is the only downfall so I’m happy!

WHAT TO WEAR: BOYFRIENDS GRADUATION My boyfriend Liam's graduation is tomorrow! He has graduated from BA Hons Architecture with a 1st and he has also secured himself a job in a practice and I couldn't be prouder! We are going to take a lot of photos tomorrow so it is very important we both look good so they can be proudly displayed for the rest of our lives whether Liam's likes it of not! I usually find shopping for outfits very stressful as I am very short, big boobs and I'm rather curvy so it's never easy but this time it really did just all fall into place! The first thing I got was the beautiful Pandora ring for my birthday last Thursday from Liam, it is perfect and I love it so much that it had to be my starting point. I found the dress in the closing down sale of USC in Bluewater shopping centre, I'm rather depressed the store is closing but this find almost makes it worth it. The dress is called the Rosie dress by Rock and Rags for Firetrap and it was reduced to £12.50 which was too good an opportunity to pass up so I snapped it up and I'm so happy I did! It fits so well, the length is very flattering and the colour matches the ring perfectly. The shoes are black suede with a double ankle strap and I got them from New Look a long time ago, I have always found them very uncomfortable but since it's a special occasion I'm just gonna suffer because they are gorgeous! The bag was a last minute buy earlier today due to realising I had nothing suitable, it's was in the Mango sale for £19.99 which I thought was a great price for such a great versatile bag. It also has classy little handles as well as a detachable strap which will be very handy for when I'm feeling lazy! To complete the outfit I will be wearing this beautiful heart necklace from Swarovski and I will paint my nails with Sally Handson silver nail polish. Ive decided to go for a simple smokey eye using my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette and a rosy cheek, I want to look sophisticated and understated which this outfit does perfectly. For once I actually feel really calm and happy with my choices and I now can't wait to enjoy the day with my little genius boyfriend and his parents. I will be posting photos from the day very soon and the links to all the items which are still on sale below.
