I’ve been so absent over the years. I let people push me down back to a spot mentally I hated sharing my life. I let hateful people get back into my head. I would hide my self behind baggy clothing. I realize these people hated my confidence. The love I have for myself and my body intimidated these people. They feel so insecure about themselves they had to try and bring me to their level of self loathing.

This past year I cut these people out of my life completely. I can honestly say I’ve never been happier. I traveled more, went out more, and laughed more. I learned who my friends were and who were not.

I can say this one was for the books for sure.

Plus I got back I front of the camera, ya girl is back and just like fine wine I’ve gotten better with age🍷 🌹

POM Recipe: Dufftown Maid Cocktail from Jimmy’s Aspen

Here at POM Wonderful, we’re firm believers that Scotch isn’t used nearly enough in cocktails. That’s why we love this fabulous drink from the creative minds behind the bar at Jimmy’s Aspen.

It takes what’s commonly perceived as a woodsy, masculine spirit and turns it into a delightfully refreshing summer sipper.

Here’s how it’s done:

Dufftown Maid

Ingredients:

2 oz Monkey Shoulder blended single malt scotch

½ oz fresh lime

½ oz fresh grapefruit

½ oz POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice

½ oz simple syrup

5-6 pieces cucumber and mint leaves

Method:

Muddle cucumber and mint in a cocktail shaker, add remaining ingredients, and shake. Double strain over a very large ice cube and pour into a rocks glass. Enjoy!

Optional: If bottling in advance, add 1 ¼ ounces of water. (We recommend using FIJI Water.)
