part two of Grace knitting on the Hail Mary. This time, he's crochet his besties.
jk rowling posted a photo upskirting a trans woman and when asked why the fuck she would do that, she responded to say that the victim “chose to wear fishnets and a miniskirt”
but no, for sure! she’s a feminist! for sureee she’s all about protecting women and girls. this one just asked for it, right? it was how she was dressed.
in other jkr news, from august in the uk trans people will be legally required to use the bathroom that adheres to their sex. that 70k jkr donated to the supreme court case? yeah. they’re starting to enforce that. legally.
but yeahhh have you seen these clips from the show 🥺🥺 it’s so #nostalgic guyssss 🥺🥺 (throwing rocks at you)
Happy disability pride month!!
(when two months in a row have excuses to draw your two favourite guys who you draw all the time🥴)

I ended up having to play a bit of catch-up, my motivation level has been in the approximate whereabouts of hell the last few days. 😅
Not a single one of these was a five star read for me, but if I had to single one out as the most enjoyable, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur would be it. I’ve been wanting to read Lunella’s story for a while now, and needing a dino themed book for my summer reading bingo was the perfect excuse. I’ll be making a square for the second volume before too long, I’m sure.
As for The Book of Murmurs and Mythos, all I can really say is that I expected more. 🤷🏼 Murmurs was very imaginative, so much so that I found the story hard to follow, and Mythos was just dry. I was dragging myself to the end in both cases, which I think can at least partly be blamed on the state of my brain. But not entirely. 😅🫣
when everything feels like the movies you bleed just to know youre alive. or so ive heard.
sherlock holmes is not the type of victorian who would die if you gave him a monster energy drink. sherlock holmes would chug the entire thing and then look you dead in the eyes and ask if that was all. dr john h. watson, however,

I got lucky scoring this secondhand about six weeks ago, and just didn’t have a chance to get to it until now!
Furthering my antiracism education is a huge priority for me, for my own sake as well as my kid’s, and this was an incredibly eye-opening addition to that mission. Highly recommend if that’s something that interests you!

I love a memoir, and this one was excellent! Dylan writes with a gravity that I honestly did not totally expect from her going in, particularly in the essay portions, but there was still plenty of the openness and sweetness that she’s known for. It was also really lovely to read the last chapter and see from the future that, hey, she has met some of those goals she set for herself.
As for the square, this was one of the most difficult color matches of this project to date - I’m choosing to believe that Dylan would think it’s cute anyway. 😅💖
Rocky meets some animals from earth 🌍🌻
and I couldn’t help but fall in love again 🌟💞💫
I snuck a bunch of details into this one. It’s my bloodymary art I’ve made.🍃💍
Does anyone know what to do about the temperature and also the prices
You know, every time I draw something stupid, I think to myself "surely I can't top this!" And then somehow I draw something even dumber
Edit: NOOO NOO WHY IS THIS GETTING NOTES??? STOP IT!! ONLY LIKE 10 PEOPLE WERE SUPPOSED TO SEE THIS AND THEN ID BURY IT UNDER MY REPOSTS NOOO
90/100!!! 📚🧶
It’s really looking like this goal will be met this month! Which is actually excellent news, because 100 squares is definitely not going to be enough to create a whole sweater 😅😭
It took over three months for my Libby hold on this book to come through, and I can say with confidence that it was absolutely worth the wait. I loved A Gentleman’s Gentleman when I read it last year, and this follow-up more than met expectations. 🩷
sorry america but you’ve been really mean. and I don’t want to go to your birthday party in two days
so this post has blown up; turns out a lot of people feel the same way I do. If you're feeling conflicted or upset over 4th of July, I've compiled a list of educational resources and charities, both regarding US and international issues, which you can look into if you'd like. Issues here include humanitarian aid to Gaza, Ukraine, and the Caribbean, as well as reproductive, LGBT, BIPOC, and disability rights in the US.
woke up and saw people were reblogging this again. anyway, yeah. america is still being really mean and I do not want to go to its birthday party today
if you would like to spite the really mean people even more today, consider donating to raices con voz. they're a student-led organization in los angeles, who deliver food and essential supplies to immigrant families who can't leave their homes due to the ICE raids. More information about them here
EDIT: Had to fix the link! please reblog this version instead
another year of not wanting to go to america's birthday party in two days. because it's really mean. so we should help the people that america is being really mean to
in keeping with tradition, here is a link to unicef's fund for emergency health supplies and services for survivors of the venezuela earthquakes.
here is another link for manos in action, an organization that delivers supplies, such as food and childcare items, to latin american immigrants in central florida. I've participated in one of their local food drives; they're great. if you're not local to central florida, you can always donate money.
the other links are still available too, so feel free to check those out!

There’s never a bad time to gain further knowledge of this country’s famously infamous origins, but finishing this on 7/4 does feel poetic in its own way.
I decided to go ahead and attach my completed sleeves (which you can see in closer detail here) to what I have of the back panel to make sure it would be wide enough across, so now we actually have something vaguely resembling a sweater! 📚🧶
Nothing is officially sewn in yet, I can still easily add or remove squares as needed to make sure I get the fit just right, but seeing it even this little bit done feels really good!
I think the plan for July’s squares is going to be to start building down the front so I can get the sleeves fully attached and then be able to work in full front-to-back rows until it feels long enough. ☺️
